DEFINICIONES
SEGURIDAD Es el conjunto de procedimientos y recursos técnicos aplicados a la eficaz
DE prevención y protección frente a los accidentes. Los accidentes ocurren por

Es la probabilidad que tiene una condición existente (evento no deseado)

para producir lesión, daño o pérdidas económicas (accidente o enfermedad).

La Seguridad Industrial es el sistema de disposiciones obligatorias que tienen

por objeto la prevención y limitación de riesgos, así como la protección contra
SEGURIDAD
accidentes capaces de producir daños a las personas, a los bienes o al
medio ambiente derivados de la actividad industrial
Seguridad de las operaciones

Introducción
La seguridad en el trabajo se ocupa de analizar los riesgos de
accidentes, detectando sus causas principales para de ésta manera
estudiar la forma más adecuada para su reducción o eliminación.

La seguridad se sirve de unos métodos, sistemas o formas de

actuaciones definidas, denominadas “Técnicas de Seguridad”.
Las Técnicas de Seguridad permiten dependiendo de la etapa de
evaluación del riesgo actuar correctamente en la lucha contra los
accidentes.

Las etapas de evaluación del riesgo son las siguientes:

 Análisis (Identificación del peligro y estimación del riesgo)

5.1 Uso de herramientas en condiciones de seguridad

RIESGOS Cortes y pinchazos

Golpes y caídas

Proyección de partículas

Medidas preventivas generales

 Antes de usarlas, inspeccionar cuidadosamente mangos, filos,

zonas de ajuste, partes móviles, cortantes y susceptibles de
proyección.

 Cualquier defecto o anomalía será comunicado lo antes posible

a su inmediato superior. Asimismo, se informará al Jefe de Taller
o Capataz.

 Se utilizarán exclusivamente para la función que fueron

diseñadas.
 Nunca se utilizará una herramienta manual eléctrica desprovista
de clavija de enchufe.

 Si es imprescindible el uso de alargadores para las herramientas

eléctricas, la conexión se hará de la herramienta al enchufe, nunca
a la inversa. Si la herramienta dispone de borna de puesta a tierra,
el alargador la llevará igualmente.

 La desconexión de la herramienta manual eléctrica siempre se

hará tirando de la clavija de enchufe.
Medidas preventivas especificas
CINCELES Y PUNZONES

 Se comprobará el estado de las cabezas, desechando

aquellos que presenten rebabas o fisuras.

 Se transportarán guardados en fundas portaherramientas.

 El filo se mantendrá en buen uso, y no se afilarán salvo que

la casa suministradora indique tal posibilidad.

 Cuando se hayan de usar sobre objetos pequeños, éstos se

sujetarán adecuadamente con otra herramienta.
Medidas preventivas especificas
Martillos

 Se inspeccionará antes de su uso, rechazando aquellos que

tengan el mango defectuoso.

 Se usarán exclusivamente para golpear y sólo con la cabeza.

 No se intentarán componer los mangos rajados.

 Las cabezas estarán bien fijadas a los mangos, sin holgura

alguna.
 No se aflojarán tuercas con el martillo.

 Cuando se tenga que dar a otro trabajador, se hará cogido por

la cabeza. Nunca se lanzará.

 No se usarán martillos cuyas cabezas tengan rebabas.

Medidas preventivas especificas
Alicate
 Para cortar alambres gruesos, se girará la herramienta en
un plano perpendicular al alambre, sujetando uno de los
extremos del mismo; emplear gafas contra impacto.

 No se usarán para aflojar o soltar tornillos.

 Nunca se usarán para sujetar piezas pequeñas a taladrar.

 Se evitará su uso como martillo.

Medidas preventivas especificas
Limas
 Se mantendrán siempre limpias y sin grasa.

 Tendrán el mango bien sujeto.

 Las piezas pequeñas se fijarán antes de limarlas.

 Nunca se sujetará la lima para trabajar por el extremo libre.

 Se evitarán los golpes para limpiarlas.

Medidas preventivas especificas
Llaves
 Se mantendrán siempre limpias y sin grasa.

 Se utilizarán únicamente para las operaciones que fueron

diseñadas. Nunca se usarán para martillear, remachar o como
palanca.

 Para apretar o aflojar con llave inglesa, hacerlo de forma que la

quijada que soporte el esfuerzo sea la fija.

 No empujar nunca la llave, sino tirar de ella.

Medidas preventivas especificas
 Evitar emplear cuñas. Se usarán las llaves adecuadas a cada
tuerca.
 Evitar el uso de tubos para prolongar el brazo de la llave.
Herramientas manuales electricas
Riesgos generales
 Electrocución.

 Golpes, cortes y atrapamientos.

 Quemaduras por fricción con partes móviles y/o calientes.

 Proyección de partículas.

 Quemaduras.
Herramientas manuales electricas
Normas preventivas
 El trabajador desconectará la herramienta para cambiar de útil y
comprobará que está parada.

 El tiempo de funcionamiento de la herramienta será controlado

por el operario, con la finalidad de evitar el calentamiento excesivo
y rotura del útil.

 El trabajador no inclinará la herramienta para ensanchar la

abertura practicada.
Herramientas manuales electricas
 Se marcarán con punzón o granete los puntos de ataque antes de
comenzar la operación de taladrado.

 El trabajador no quitará los resguardos de la radial cuando opere

con ella.

 Se evitarán usar las herramientas manuales que trabajan por

corte o abrasión en las proximidades de trabajadores no
protegidos.

 El trabajador utilizará protección ocular.

Equipo de proteccion

El principal objetivo del casco de seguridad es

proteger la cabeza de quien lo usa de peligros y CASCO
golpes mecánicos.

Se usan para evitar la entrada de objetos, agua o

productos químicos en los ojos.
GAFAS

El cubreboca evita contaminación microbiógica

proveniente de la nariz y la boca. Evita que las
gotitas de saliva que no se ven y que se generan al

momento de hablar, toser o estornudar.

Para proteger de chispas y el calor en que se este

trabajando.
