OBJETIVO GENERAL

Al concluir el tema, el participante estará en la capacidad


de realizar el starting engine and taxiing de la aeronave
tomando en cuenta todo lo relacionado con la seguridad y
el cuidado del motor y las limitaciones de éste.

P&W PT6A-140

La PT6A-140 es una turbina libre , de dos ejes que


utiliza una sección de compresor que tiene tres etapas
axiales y una etapa centrífuga , una cámara de
combustión anular de flujo reverso , una turbina de una
etapa del compresor, una turbina de potencia de una
etapa , y un solo escape. La turbina de potencia
impulsa la hélice a través de una caja de engranajes
planetarios de dos etapas en la parte delantera del
motor, y 867 SHP.

LIMITACIONES

 Voltaje mínimo de la batería 24 VOLTS


 Voltaje mínimo de la batería en el encendido con planta 20 VOLTS
 Temperatura máxima ITT para el reencendido 150ºC y 30 minutos.
 Fuel flow 90-140 PPH
 Máximo ITT en el encendido 850ºC ( por P&W 1090ºC por 2 seg.)

Los call outs o llamados, son los que deben hacer para estar
pendiente en todo momento del funcionamiento de nuestra
aeronave en cualquier fase del vuelo, en este caso específico en el
encendido, en el lavado de la turbina y en el taxeo.

TAXIING

Lo más importante para iniciar el taxeo es el chequeo de los


frenos y que los aleros estén presentes y pendiente del
movimiento de la aeronave y del espacio disponible para
dicho movimiento. Hay que estar pendiente de tener las
luces prendidas (NAV. BCN. TAXI) y tener la autorización de
superficie para dicho movimiento, luego se utiliza el modo
BETA para no recalentar los frenos.
