Lo encontramos muy interesante ya que no sabiamos lo que podia causar


no cepillarse, e investigando y discutiendo sobre el tema, elegimos ese
tema.

Tambien fue conveniente ya que la madre de uno de nosotros es


odontologa y es experta en enfermedades bucales.

Tiene un grado como doctora de odontología en la universidad


central del Este, maestría en ortodoncia de el instituto superior de
especiales médicas en Santiago, Cuba, cumple con más de 20
años de experiencia en la consulta pública y privada.
Otro dato interesante de esta hermosa mujer es que es madre de el
maravilloso estudiante Julio Alberto.

¿Què es exactamente la gingivitis?

Es el término médico referido a la fase más temprana


de la enfermedad periodontal. Es el tipo más común y
puede conllevar condiciones más severas, sin embargo,
es la más tratable y una de las enfermedades
periodontales con más posibilidades de prevención.
¿Cuáles son los síntomas y signos de
la gingivitis?
Los síntomas y signos más destacados de la gingivitis son
los siguientes:

Encías inflamadas , rojizas y sensibles ,Encías sangrantes,


sobre todo al realizar la limpieza ( hilo , cepillado) .
Retroceso de encías o separación de encías del diente,
Mal aliento
Dientes flojos, Dolor al masticar alimentos, Pus visible
alrededor de los dientes( entre dientes y encías)
¿Cuáles son algunas causas o
factores de gingivitis?

● Hábito de fumar
● Mala higiene
● Enfermedades (infección o enfermedades sistémicas,
diabetes no controlada…)
● Cambios hormonales como en el caso del embarazo
● El uso de medicamentos ( Fenitoina , bismuto, algunas
píldoras anticonceptivas…)
● Genética
¿Qué precauciones tomar para
prevenir ?
La mejor manera de protegerse de la gingivitis es adoptar una
nueva rutina de salud bucal más allá del cepillado, la cual debe
realizarse al menos dos veces al día y que comprenda lo
siguiente: Uso del hilo dental, el cual afloja y elimina la placa
ente los dientes y debajo del borde de las encías.

El cepillado, el cual remueve la placa de los dientes y encías.


Usar un enjuague bucal, el cual elimina la placa y los
gérmenes que causan la gingivitis. Es así de fácil.
