REGULARES DEL PRETÉRITO Regular -ar preterite endings:

The preterite tense communicates completed past

actions.

Regular preterite verb forms use the regular stem

(the same one used in the present tense).

Only the endings* are different from the regular Regular -er/-ir preterite endings:
present tense verbs, and these endings
communicate the past.

*For “-ar” and “-ir” verbs, the nosotros ending is

the same in both the present and preterite tenses.
