COMO SE ENCUENTRA LA LOGISTICA EN
COLOMBIA
Uno de los factores claves que determinan el desempeño logístico de
un país es la infraestructura. De acuerdo con el último Índice Global de
Competitividad (IGC) del Foro Económico Mundial (WEF, por su sigla
en inglés), Colombia ocupó el puesto 110 entre 140 economías y 13
entre 19 países de américa latina. Dicha situación es producto
especialmente de la baja calificación que obtiene el país en materia de
calidad en la infraestructura vial y férrea –ubicándose en los puestos
26 y 123, respectivamente, en la clasificación general y en los lugares
16 y 14, respectivamente, en la región. Pero el buen desempeño
logístico no depende sólo de la calidad de la infraestructura. la
competitividad y la calidad en los servicios de transporte, así como la
eficiencia y eficacia en aduanas y puertos, la capacidad de
seguimiento y localización de mercancías, la utilización de mejores
prácticas en la materia por parte de los generadores, entre otros, son
factores que juegan un papel fundamental en el desempeño logístico
de un país.

▸ Durante los últimos años, el desempeño
logístico del país se ha deteriorado
posición de Colombia y porcentaje de países drásticamente. Colombia pasó del puesto 72
con mejor desempeño, 2007-2014.
entre 155 países en 2010, al puesto 97 entre
160 países en 2014. esto significa que
mientras en 2010, el 46,5% de los países
tenían un mejor desempeño logístico que
Colombia, en 2014 lo tienen más del 60%. en
el contexto latinoamericano, Colombia sólo
está por encima de honduras, Haití y Bolivia,
y con respecto a países de referencia ocupa
el último lugar.
