Writing: A profile

En esta actividad les propongo escribir un perfil completo. Incluyo el mío para que tengan como modelo.

Fíjense que cada párrafo tiene información específica:

1. Información general, presentación.

2. Descripción física, estilo y descripción de personalidad.
3. Cosas que nos gustan y cosas que no.
4. Lo que hacemos durante la semana.
5. Lo que hacemos el fin de semana.

Entiendo que para algunos esto va a resultar más fácil que para otros. La idea es que cada uno haga el
mejor trabajo posible, poniendo su mejor esfuerzo. Utilicen oraciones cortas y simples, lo que en inglés
es muy aceptable, así que no pretendo una redacción muy compleja.

Me gustaría que realmente sea un trabajo personal, donde puedan expresar lo que realmente quieren.

My profile
My name’s Stella Maris Canessa Gutierrez. I’m forty-six years old and I’m a teacher of English and a tour
guide. I’m from Trelew, Chubut, a small city in the South of Argentina. I live with my husband and our two
cats in a small house with a big garden.

I’m tall and thin. I’ve got long, straight, blond hair and green eyes. I wear casual clothes to stay at home,
usually sports clothes, and more formal clothes to work: trousers and jackets with shoes or boots. I’m quite
friendly, energetic and hard-working but I’m also bad tempered, indecisive and sometimes too talkative.

I love my job because I love learning and teaching languages. I like reading and watching films and series. I
also enjoy walking and running for exercise but I don’t like playing sports. I really love coffee but I don’t like
mate or beer. My favourite activity is travelling.

During the week I work at school and at my institute. I try to organise my time and do some exercise to
stay healthy. I take online French lessons on Tuesday and I also use Duolingo (an app) to get more
practice. Sometimes I play the piano. (I’m terrible at it)

At weekends I usually spend time with my friends and family. I also enjoy having dinner out with my
husband or going to the cinema. Sometimes we stay home and cook and watch Netflix together or go to
my parents’ farm.
