La interpretación en los servicios públicos en UK

En UK los intérpretes y traductores no están regulados, igual que aquí no se necesita
títulos. Pero existen algunas formas que están intentando regularlo como DPI (Diploma
in Police Interpreting), DPSI o DITRANS.
Existe un Instituto de Traducción e Interpretación.
ITI, CIOL, APCI and AIT son asociaciones profesionales de traductores e intérpretes en
el Reino Unido.
Public service interpreting
En este ámbito de la inmigración se trabaja con visas, asilos, apelaciones y refugiados.
Los intérpretes trabajan en la solicitud de visas, registro de casos de asilo,
interrogatorios de asilo, tribunales de apelación de asilo, etc. En UK con español ahora
mismo hay muchos inmigrantes de Venezuela o gente que llega el Reino Unido que
hablan español, pero no son españoles, si no que a lo mejor llegaron aquí, estuvieron
un tiempo y luego se marchan al Reino Unido.
En el código de conducta para los intérpretes que trabajan con inmigrantes, este lo
realiza el departamento de inmigración y visas del Reino Unido.
