Los solicitantes deberán acreditar su identidad mediante alguno de los siguientes medios:

1. Applicants retrieving their personal documents must prove their identity with any of the following forms of
documentation: (Immigrant visa applicants must bring an original and a copy of their identification
document.)
a. Official or State issued identification card (with photo)
b. Official driver’s license (with photo)
2. Parents retrieving documents for their children must provide proof of their relationship by presenting the
following documents:
a. A copy of the child’s birth certificate or adoption decree, with at least one of the parent’s full legal
name displayed on the document.
b. Any of the parents must prove their identity by presenting a photocopy of official Identity Document
issued by the state (with photo), his/her name must match with the certificate of birth or child
resolution adoption.
3. Los solicitantes adultos pueden autorizar a un tercero a recuperar sus documentos. El tercero deberá presentar
los siguientes documentos:
a. Una carta de autorización notariada firmada por el solicitante que contenga el nombre legal completo
del tercero.
b. Una fotocopia de uno de los documentos de identificación del solicitante enumerados en el punto #1.
c. El tercero también debe presentar una fotocopia de un documento oficial de identidad emitido por el
Estado (con foto). El nombre en la identificación debe coincidir con el nombre en la carta de
autorización.

Cualquier documento que no se recupere dentro de los 30 días será devuelto a la Sección Consular de origen.

Applicants must prove their identity using one of the following methods:

1. Applicants retrieving their personal documents must prove their identity with any of the following forms of

3. Adult applicants may authorize a third party to retrieve their documents. The third party must present the
following documents:
a. A notarized letter of authorization signed by the applicant that contains the third party’s full legal name.
b. A photo copy of one of the applicant’s identification documents listed in item #1.
c. The third party must also submit a photocopy of an official identity document issued by the Estate
(with photo). The name on the ID must match with the name on the letter of authorization.

Any documents not retrieved within 30 days will be returned to the originating Consular Section.
