Donya Victorina: Por qué se volvió así, hermano? Me estás poniendo triste. ¡Lucha por tu
vida, por favor, hermano!
(Why did it become like this, brother? You are making me sad. Fight for
your life, please, brother!)

Don Eduardo: María Teresa, Isabel, Emila, mis preciosas hijas. Os adoro a cada una de
vosotras por igual. Aunque me gustaría veros evolucionar y madurar a todas, sé que este es mi
último segundo. Victorina, no me cabe duda de que cuidarás muy bien de mis hijas. Por favor,
guíalas en mi nombre.
(Maria Teresa, Isabel, Emila, my gorgeous daughters. I adore every one
of you equally. Even though I would like to watch all of you evolve and mature, I
know that this is my final second. Victorina, I have no doubt that you'll take great
care of my daughters. Please lead them on my behalf.)

Donya Victorina: Ay dios mío! por favor, hermano!

Ma. Teresa: Llama al doctor! ¡Ahora mismo!

(Call the Doctor! Right now!)

Ma. Emilia: Papá! No nos hagas esto! Por favor! Por favor Papa!
(Papa! Don't do this to us! Please! Please!)

Ma. Isabel: Papá no! No nos dejes por favor! ¡Te necesito! ¡Papá, por favor! ¡Por
favor! por favor papa!!! No me mueras Papa!!! Esto no me gusta papa, por favor!!!
(Dad no! Don't leave us please! I need you! Dad please! Please! please
dad!!! Don't die, dad!!! I don't like this dad, please!!!)
Narrator: Y la unidad que une a la familia ha muerto para siempre.

Donya Vic: Sirvientas! Llama ya a los niños y diles que vengan. ¡Ya es tarde! El
invitado ya llegará.
(Maids! Call the kids already and tell them to come. It is late already! The

Ma. Isabel: Hola tía… no puedo comer esto.

(Hello aunt… I can't eat like this.)

Ma. Teresa: Cuál es el punto de como, tengo tanto trabajo que hacer!

Ma. Emilia: Esta reunión es tan inútil. Papá está muerto ahora. Deja de fingir que
somos una familia.

Donya Vic: Los llamé a todos para arreglar algo muy importante, mis queridas
sobrinas. Esperemos a que llegue el invitado.
(I called all of you to settle something very important, my dear nieces.

Abogada: Mis condolencias a todos, pero vamos al grano. Soy la abogada

asignada en la última voluntad y testamento de su padre.
(Condolence to you all, but let’s get to business. I am the attorney
assigned in the last will and testament of your father)

Estoy aquí para discutir a quién irán la mansión, la empresa, el avión, la

granja y las casas.
(I am here to discuss whom the mansion, the company, the airplane, the
farm, and the houses, will go to)

Ma. Teresa: Esto es ridículo! la empresa, las tierras y toda la propiedad es mía porque
trabajé duro para ello.
(This is ridiculous! the company, the lands and all the property is mine
bcoz i worked hard for it.)

Ma. Emilia: Eres tan egoísta! Crecí sin amor y cariño y esto es lo mínimo que podrías
hacer por mí?
(You're so selfish! I grew up without love and affection and this is the
least you could do for me?)
Ma. Teresa: Soy el mayor, debo administrar la empresa!
(I'm the eldest, I should manage the company!)

Ma. Emilia: No porque seas el mayor, tienes derecho a hacer esto!

(Not because you are the older one, you have the right to do this!)
❖ Both will stand up and continue on arguing

Ma. Teresa: Urgh!

Ma. Emilia: Eres muy molesto! (walkout)

(You're so annoying!)

Ma. Isabel: Para! ¡Dije que lo detuvieras! Papá lleva muerto sólo tres días y tú estás
luchando contra para estas cosas materiales. ¿No tienes el más mínimo respeto por él? ¡¿Ni
siquiera puedes respetar su funeral?!
(Stop! I said stop it! Dad has only been dead for three days and you are
fighting for these material things. Don't you have the slightest respect for him?

Donya Victorina: Ninguno de ustedes merece nada de la voluntad! ¡No sabes nada más

(The one who will inherit the….Oh!! no one. you are all left with nothing.
