Observe el uso del verbo To Be tanto para el verbo SER como para ESTAR:
En el idioma hablado se usan las contracciones por comodidad y rapidez. Practique mucho esta
forma porque es la más usada cuando se habla.

* Observe como hemos substituido los nombres de las personas por el pronombre THEY. En vez de
Mary and Alice were efficient secretaries: They were efficient secretaries. Una forma que nos
permite mas rapidez.

Nota: El pasado del verbo To Be para las primeras personas: I, he, she, it es: WAS.
Las preguntas se forman con la forma del pasado del verbo al principio.

El tiempo futuro del verbo TO BE se forma como el futuro de todos los otros verbos: usamos el
auxiliar WILL y la forma simple del verbo. Ej: I will be a teacher. Yo seré maestro. Son muy usuales
sus contracciones I´ll, you´ll, he´ll, she´ll, we´ll, etc.

Nota gramatical: How old = pregunta ¿qué edad tienes? ¿Cuántos años tienes?; se contesta
literalmente traducido al español = Yo soy 20 años. Como verá no se puede traducir literalmente.
Hay que aprender la forma de preguntar y contestar sobre la edad en inglés.

El verbo CAN se usa en inglés para expresar que, física o mentalmente se puede hacer algo, se
