Hosea 9:1 No te alegres, oh Israel, hasta saltar de gozo como los pueblos, pues has fornicado
apartándote de tu Dios; amaste salario de ramera en todas las eras de trigo.

La era y el lagar no los mantendrán, y les fallará el mosto.

No quedarán en la tierra de Jehová, sino que volverá Efraín a Egipto y a Asiria, donde comerán
vianda inmunda.

No harán libaciones a Jehová, ni sus sacrificios le serán gratos; como pan de enlutados les serán
a ellos; todos los que coman de él serán inmundos. Será, pues, el pan de ellos para sí mismos; ese
pan no entrará en la casa de Jehová.

¿Qué haréis en el día de la solemnidad, y en el día de la fiesta de Jehová?

Porque he aquí se fueron ellos a causa de la destrucción. Egipto los recogerá, Menfis los
enterrará. La ortiga conquistará lo deseable de su plata, y espino crecerá en sus moradas.

Vinieron los días del castigo, vinieron los días de la retribución; e Israel lo conocerá. Necio es el
profeta, insensato es el varón de espíritu, a causa de la multitud de tu maldad, y grande odio.

Atalaya es Efraín para con mi Dios; el profeta es lazo de cazador en todos sus caminos, odio en
la casa de su Dios.

Llegaron hasta lo más bajo en su corrupción, como en los días de Gabaa; ahora se acordará de
su iniquidad, castigará su pecado.

Como uvas en el desierto hallé a Israel; como la fruta temprana de la higuera en su principio vi a
vuestros padres. Ellos acudieron a Baal-peor, se apartaron para vergüenza, y se hicieron
abominables como aquello que amaron.
11
La gloria de Efraín volará cual ave, de modo que no habrá nacimientos, ni embarazos, ni
concepciones.
12
Y si llegaren a grandes sus hijos, los quitaré de entre los hombres, porque ¡ay de ellos también,
cuando de ellos me aparte!

Efraín, según veo, es semejante a Tiro, situado en lugar delicioso; pero Efraín sacará sus hijos a
la matanza.

Toda la maldad de ellos fue en Gilgal; allí, pues, les tomé aversión; por la perversidad de sus

Hosea 9:1 No te alegres, Israel, con gran júbilo como las naciones, porque te has prostituido,

Ni la era ni el lagar los alimentarán, y el mosto les faltará.

No permanecerán en la tierra del SEÑOR, sino que Efraín volverá a Egipto, y en Asiria comerán

Ni el trigo ni las uvas podrán alimentarlos; el vino nuevo no tendrá el gusto que esperaban.

No habitarán en la tierra del SEÑOR; Efraín regresará a Egipto y comerá inmundicias en Asiria.
4
No le ofrecerán al SEÑOR más libaciones de vino, ni le serán gratos sus sacrificios. Se les
volverá pan de lágrimas; quienes lo coman quedarán impuros. Tal vez les sirva para matar el
hambre, pero no tendrá cabida en la casa del SEÑOR.

¿Qué harán ustedes en los días de fiesta, o en las peregrinaciones en honor del SEÑOR?

Aunque escapen de la destrucción, los recogerá Egipto y los enterrará Menfis. Sus tesoros de
plata se llenarán de ortigas, y los espinos invadirán sus carpas.
7
Han llegado los días del castigo, han llegado los días de la retribución. ¡Que lo sepa Israel! Es
tan grande tu maldad, y tan intensa tu hostilidad, que al profeta se le tiene por necio, y al hombre
inspirado por loco.
8
El profeta, junto con Dios, es el centinela de Efraín, pero enfrenta trampas en todos sus caminos,
y hostilidad en la casa de su Dios.
9
Han llegado al colmo de la corrupción, como en los días de Guibeá; ¡pero Dios se acordará de
sus perversidades y los castigará por sus pecados!
10
«Cuando encontré a Israel, fue como hallar uvas en el desierto; cuando vi a sus antepasados,
fue como ver higos tiernos en la higuera. Pero ellos se fueron a Baal Peor y se entregaron a la

«Toda su maldad comenzó en Guilgal; allí comencé a aborrecerlos. Por causa de sus maldades,
los expulsaré de mi casa. No volveré a amarlos, pues todas sus autoridades son rebeldes.

Efraín se ha marchitado: su raíz se secó y no produce fruto. Aunque llegue a tener hijos, mataré
el precioso fruto de su vientre.»

Oseas 9 Oh pueblo de Israel, no te alegres como lo hacen otras naciones. Pues has sido infiel
a tu Dios, alquilándote como una prostituta y rindiendo culto a otros dioses en cada campo de
trillar. 2 Ahora tus cosechas serán insuficientes para alimentarte; no habrá uvas para hacer vino
nuevo. 3 Ya no podrás quedarte aquí en la tierra del Señor. En cambio, volverás a Egipto, y en
Asiria comerás alimentos ceremonialmente impuros. 4 Allí no presentarás ofrendas de vino
al Señor, y ninguno de tus sacrificios le agradará. Serás inmundo como el alimento tocado por una
persona que está de luto. Todo el que presente tales sacrificios quedará contaminado. Ellos
mismos podrán comer esta comida, pero no podrán ofrecerla al Señor. 5 Entonces, ¿qué harás en
los días de los festivales? ¿Cómo celebrarás los festivales del Señor? 6 Aunque escapes de la
destrucción a manos de Asiria, Egipto te vencerá y Menfis te enterrará. La ortiga se apoderará de
tus tesoros de plata y la zarza invadirá tus casas arruinadas. 7 Ha llegado la hora del castigo de
Israel; ha llegado el día del pago merecido. Pronto Israel se dará perfecta cuenta de esto. A causa
de tu gran pecado y hostilidad dices: «¡Los profetas están locos y los hombres inspirados son
necios!». 8 El profeta es un centinela sobre Israel para mi Dios, sin embargo, dondequiera que va
le tienden trampas. Hasta en la casa de Dios enfrenta hostilidad. 9 Lo que hace mi pueblo es tan
depravado como lo que se hizo en Guibeá hace mucho tiempo. Dios no olvidará; sin falta los
castigará por sus pecados.
10 Dice el Señor: «Oh Israel, cuando te encontré por primera vez, fue como encontrar uvas frescas
en el desierto. Cuando vi a tus antepasados, fue como ver los primeros higos maduros de la
temporada. Pero después me abandonaron por Baal-peor y se entregaron a ese ídolo vergonzoso.
En poco tiempo se volvieron viles, tan viles como el dios al que rinden culto. 11 La gloria de Israel
saldrá volando como un ave, porque tus hijos no nacerán, ni crecerán en la matriz, ni siquiera
serán concebidos. 12 Aunque algunos de tus hijos lleguen a crecer, yo te los arrebataré. Será un

14 Oh Señor, ¿qué debería pedir para tu pueblo? Pediré matrices que no den a luz y pechos que

15 Dice el Señor: «Toda su perversidad empezó en Gilgal; allí comencé a odiarlos. A causa de sus
malas acciones, los sacaré de mi tierra. Ya no los amaré porque todos sus líderes son rebeldes.
16 El pueblo de Israel ha sido derribado. Sus raíces se han secado y no darán más fruto. Y si dan a
luz, yo mataré a sus amados hijos».
17 Mi Dios rechazará al pueblo de Israel porque no quiere escuchar ni obedecer. Será un
vagabundo, sin hogar entre las naciones.

their iniquity, he will visit their sins.

I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her
first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their
abominations were according as they loved.

As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from
the conception.

Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left:
yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!

Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children

‫‪ֹ 4‬לא־ִיְּס֙כּו ַליהָ֥וה׀ ַיִי֘ן ְוֹ֣ל א ֶֽיֶעְר בּו־לֹ֒ו ִזְבֵח יֶ֗ה ם ְּכֶ֤לֶחם אֹוִני֙ם ָלֶ֔ה ם ָּכל־ֹאְכָ֖ליו ִיַטָּ֑מ אּו ִּֽכי־ַלְחָ֣מ ם ְלַנְפָׁ֔ש ם‬

‫‪ִּֽ 6‬כי־ִהֵּ֤נה ָֽהְל כּ֙ו ִמ ֹּׁ֔ש ד ִמ ְצַ֥ר ִים ְּת ַק ְּבֵ֖צ ם ֹ֣מ ף ְּת ַק ְּבֵ֑ר ם ַמ ְחַ֣מ ד ְלַכְסָּ֗פ ם ִק ּמֹוׂ֙ש ִֽייָר ֵׁ֔ש ם ֖ח ֹוַח ְּבָאֳהֵליֶֽהם׃‬

‫‪ֶ 9‬הְעִֽמיקּו־ִׁש ֵ֖ח תּו ִּכיֵ֣מ י ַהִּגְבָ֑ע ה ִיְזּ֣כ ֹור ֲע ֹוָ֔נ ם ִיְפ֖ק ֹוד ַחֹּטאוָֽתם׃ ס‬
‫‪ַּ 10‬כֲע ָנִ֣ב ים ַּבִּמ ְד ָּ֗ב ר ָמָ֙צאִת ֙י ִיְׂש ָר ֵ֔א ל ְּכִבּכּוָ֤ר ה ִבְת ֵא ָנ֙ה ְּבֵ֣ר אִׁש יָ֔ת ּה ָר ִ֖א יִת י ֲא ֽבֹוֵת יֶ֑כם ֵ֜ה ָּמ ה ָּ֣ב אּו ַֽבַעל־ְּפ֗ע ֹור‬

‫‪ִּ֤ 12‬כי ִא ם־ְיַגְּד לּ֙ו ֶא ת־ְּבֵניֶ֔ה ם ְוִׁש ַּכְלִּ֖ת ים ֵֽמָאָ֑ד ם ִּֽכי־ַגם־֥א ֹוי ָלֶ֖ה ם ְּבׂשּוִ֥ר י ֵמ ֶֽהם׃‬
‫‪ֶ 13‬א ְפַ֛ר ִים ַּכֲא ֶׁש ר־ָר ִ֥איִת י ְל֖צ ֹור ְׁש תּוָ֣לה ְב ָנֶ֑וה ְוֶא ְפַ֕ר ִים ְלהֹוִ֥ציא ֶא ל־ֹהֵ֖ר ג ָּבָֽניו׃‬
