INDEPENCE DAY OF PERU

196 Years ago Peru was roled by Spanish leaders

Peruvian people protested for several years,

increasing tensions with the central government .

Then Mr.José de San Martin arrived to Lima in 1821

Manuel Pérez de Tudela wrote the declaration of the

Independence on July 15. Explaining why Peru should
be free for Spanish.

On July 28, 1821 José de San Martín officially

declared Peru's independence from Spain at the
Plaza de Armas in Lima.

Don José de San Martín chose the colors red

and White for the Peruvian flag because
he dreamed of it while resting on a palm tree.
Also because after the dream a Flock of stretchers
appeared in the sky birds that have while breaasts
and red wings
