calor.
Abstract
This report presents and compares the practical results obtained in the laboratory using a hairdryer and a wind
tunnel constructed with PVC pipes and their respective reducers, against a modeling performed in the "energy
2D" program with the same parameters and dimensions as those used in the practical experiment. It is
important to note that the modeling in the "energy 2D" program does not take into consideration the geometry
of the heat sink introduced in the system, nor the geometry of the fan and the nozzle of the hairdryer used as a
heat source. The purpose of this report is to demonstrate the feasibility of constructing a functional wind
tunnel using inexpensive and readily available elements, in order to show that it is possible to carry out simple
yet significant laboratory experiments without the need for sophisticated equipment.
Keywords PVC tube, hairdryer, thermometer, anemometer, heat flux, heat sink.
