Perú es considerado uno de los mercados más
grandes de minería en Latinoamérica debido a su
gran cantidad de minerales. El mercado de
brocas triconicas en 2022 tuvo una disminución
del 13.7% con relación al año 2021, lo cual puede
considerarse a una estabilización de
importaciones post pandemia. Los diámetros
predominantes son 10 5/8” y 12 ¼” según el
grafico 1.

La cantidad de importadores en 2022 es The number of importers in 2022 is practically

del mercado, además, hay una gran cantidad de
brocas triconicas de la empresa china DANV
importadas por Coretech lo cual hace que el
mercado para este 2023 sea más competitivo.
Por otro lado, existen otras marcas que solo
importan brocas triconicas para perforación con
el método de aire reverso, pero no se incluyen
en este análisis porque su diámetro es menor a
6 3/4”. Los datos de 2022 solo nos confirman que
el mercado peruano de brocas triconicas está
consolidado y debe ser considerado uno de los
más grandes de la región, si consideramos que
para 2022 se importaron brocas triconicas por
un valor cercano a los 27.5 MUSD.

Respecto a las principales marcas en el mercado,
Shareate (Drillco Perú) continua como el
principal proveedor con alrededor del 44% del
mercado (un incremento cercano al 10% con
relación a su participación en 2021), seguido por
Epiroc (12%) debido a su gran importación de
brocas triconicas en diámetro 12 1/4” y la
entrada de productos en diámetro 10 5/8”
fabricados en India lo cual desplazo a Terelion al
tercer lugar de importaciones. Coretech con la
marca china DANV se muestra como una
interesante propuesta para este 2023 debido a
precios competitivos para el mercado peruano.

En relación al país de fabricación de las brocas
triconicas, en este se muestra una gran presencia
de brocas de China (que se incrementa en gran
cantidad en los últimos cinco años), seguidas por
India y México.

Probablemente no se distinguen bien los
números en la tabla (si no puede hacer zoom en
el documento) así que adjunto una pequeña

Para este 2023 se espera nuevas licitaciones que
podrían cambiar el panorama de las
importaciones, además, de un gran desafío para
Shareate o Cenerg que están en el mercado con
un producto con un buen costo por metro, así
como de la fuerte entrada en el mercado de
DANV con su distribuidor Coretech y mayor
desafío para Epiroc o Sandvik que han bajado
considerablemente sus precios de transferencias
al mercado peruano en el último año (sobre todo
en diámetro 10 5/8”) lo cual es muy importante,
ya que el mercado en Perú todavía está más
enfocado en el costo por metro (CPM) que en
costo total de perforación (TDC) de las brocas
triconicas. Además de tener contratos
individuales entre brocas triconicas y sarta de
perforación, a diferencia de otros países donde
hay contratos completos de aceros de
perforación incluyendo servicios de instalación y
traslados de aceros.

For this 2023, new tenders are expected that
could change the landscape of imports, in
addition, to a great challenge for Shareate or
Cenerg that are in the market with a product
with a good cost per meter, the same way as of
the strong entry into the market of DANV with its
distributor Coretech and greater challenge for
Epiroc or Sandvik that have considerably
lowered their transfer prices to the Peruvian
market in the last year (especially in diameter 10
5/8") which is very important, since the market
in Peru is still more focused on cost per meter
(CPM) than total drilling cost (TDC) of rotary bits.
In addition to having individual contracts
between rotary bits and drill string, unlike other
countries where there are full contracts for
drilling steels including installation services and
steel moving.
