Diego and his Mother

Diego is playing in the pool. His mother, Darlene, is sitting in the sun beside the pool. She is
reading a book. At least, she is trying to read a book.
Diego está jugando en la piscina. Su madre, Darlene está sentándose en el solo al lado de la
piscina. Ella está leyendo un libro. Al menos, ella está tratando de leer un libro.

"Hey Mom! I am swimming!" / Hey mamá, estoy nadando.

"Yes honey, you are swimming." / Si cariño, tú estás nadando.

"Mom, are you watching me?" / Mamá, ¿estás viendome?

"Yes, honey. Of course I am watching you!" / Si cariño. Por supuesto, estoy mirándote.

Diego is trying to splash water on her book. She is trying to ignore this.
"Mom I am Holding my breath under water."

The book is really exciting. The police are solving a crime. Diego’s mother is trying to
concentrate.

She can not find him. Suddenly, time is standing still. Suddenly, she isn’t breathing at all.

para nada.

"Diego! Diego! Are you hiding from me? Diego! You are not being funny!" She is trying not to
panic. She is walking around the pool, looking in the water.
"Boo!"
¿Diego, Diego estás tú escondiéndote de mí? Diego, tú no estás siendo divertido. Ella está
tratando de no entrar en pánico. Ella está caminando alrededor de la piscina. Mirando en el
agua. “Boo!”.

Out of nowhere, Diego is standing right behind her.

"Diego! What are you doing?" Suddenly she is crying and hugging him tightly.

"I am making sure you are paying attention, Mom!"
