El artículo a/an
Fíjate en estos ejemplos:
· A dog à Un perro
· An ant àUna hormiga
En inglés “un/una” se dice “a” o “an”. La manera de averiguar cuándo se utiliza uno u
otro es fijándose en la palabra que viene a continuación de manera que:
· Si la palabra siguiente empieza por una consonante, se pone A à a boy
· Si la palabra siguiente comienza por una vocal, se pone AN. à an apple
Verbo to be
El verbo “To be” significa “ser o estar” y siempre va acompañado de un pronombre
personal por ello fíjate bien en las siguientes tablas:
Afirmativa Contraída
I am à Yo soy o yo estoy I´m
You are à Tú eres o tú estás You´re
He is à Él es o él está He´s
She is à Ella es o ella está She´s
It is à se usa para animales y objetos It´s

La tabla anterior era para referirnos a oraciones afirmativas, ahora vamos a ver cómo
se forma el verbo “to be” en oraciones negativas.
Negativa Contraída
I am not à Yo no soy o yo no estoy I´m not
You are not à Tú no eres o tú no estás You aren´t
He is not à Él no es o él no está He isn´t
She is not à Ella no es o ella no está She isn´t
It is not à se usa para animales y objetos It isn´t
We are not à Nosotros no somos o nosotros no estamos We aren´t
You are not à Vosotros no sois o vosotros no estáis You aren´t
They are not à Ellos no son o ellos no están They aren´t
Para hacer las oraciones interrogativas cambiamos el orden de la frase, así que fíjate
bien y presta mucha atención a la tabla que viene a continuación:

Auxiliar do
El auxiliar “do” se utiliza para formar las formas negativas e interrogativas del presente
simple de los verbos(excepto “to be” y “to have got”, por ello fíjate bien en las fórmulas que a
continuación te pongo:
· Afirmativa: Sujeto + verbo + complementos.
· Negativa: Sujeto + don´t + verbo + complementos.
· Interrogativa: Do/don´t + sujeto + verbo + complementos?
Yes, sujeto + do / No, sujeto + don´t.
