Creando un NE Manualmente

Procedimiento

1. Abre la aplicación Administración de redes. Haga clic con el botón derecho en el área vacía
de la topología física y seleccione Nuevo > NE en el menú contextual

2. En el árbol de navegación de los tipos de NE a la izquierda, elija Serie OSN.

Seleccione el tipo de NE que se va a crear.

Establezca los parámetros en la lista de parámetros de la derecha.

Haga clic en Aceptar

Creating Optical NEs

On NCE, WDM NEs are placed in different optical NEs or in the Physical Topology

for management. There are four types of optical NEs: WDM_OADM, WDM_OEQ,

WDM_OLA, and WDM_OTM.

Prerequisite

You have Operator Group or higher permissions.

Procedure on the NCE

1. Abre la aplicación Administración de redes. Haga clic con el botón derecho en el área vacía

Creating Subnets
The use of subnets facilitates topology object management. Topology objects in

the same area or of similar attributes can be allocated to one subnet.

Prerequisites

You have Operator Group or higher permissions on NCE.

Context

Subnets are used to simplify the topology view without impact on NEs. It is

recommended that a subnet contain a maximum number of 20 layers.

Procedure

Step 1 Open the Network Management app and choose Topology > View > Physical

Topology from the main menu.

Step 2 In the Physical Topology, right-click in the blank area and choose New > Subnet

from the shortcut menu.

Step 3 In the dialog box that is displayed, set Name, Alias, Parent Path, Position, and

Remarks.

Step 4 (Optional)Click the Select Objects. Select objects in the Available Objects area

and add them to the Selected Objects area.

Step 5 In the Create Subnet dialog box, click OK.

The subnet is successfully created in the selected view.

You can enter the new subnet by double-clicking it.

Modifying NE ID and Extended ID
Modifying the NE ID may interrupt NE communication and reset the NE.

Procedure

Step 1 In the physical topology, select an NE. Click to expand the information panel,

and click NE Explorer.

Step 2 In the NE Explorer, choose Function Tree > Configuration > NE Properties.
Step 3 Click Modify NE ID. In the Modify NE ID dialog box, set New ID and New

Extended ID, and click OK.

Step 4 In the Warning dialog box, click OK. A dialog box is displayed, indicating that the

modification is successful. Click Close.

Modifying the NE IP Address

Procedure

Step 1 In the physical topology, select an NE. Click to expand the information panel,

and click NE Explorer in the Operations area.

Step 2 In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Function Tree > Communication >

Communication Parameters.

Step 3 Set the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway IP address, and click Apply.
Step 4 Click Yes in the Confirm dialog boxes that are displayed twice.

Step 5 In the Result dialog box, click Close.

Sincronización de tiempo (NE Time Synchronization)

 Procedimiento

1. Para sincronizar la hora de NE, inicie el Explorador de NE, seleccione un NE y, a

continuación, elija Configuración > Sincronización de tiempo de NE en el árbol de
navegación.

2. Haga clic con el botón derecho en un registro y elija Sincronizar con NM Time en el menú
contextual.

3. Compruebe la hora actual del NE después de la sincronización.

Habilitación del monitoreo del desempeño (Performance)

Procedimiento

1. Inicie el Explorador de NE y seleccione un NE.

2. Seleccione Rendimiento > Tiempo de supervisión del rendimiento de NE en el árbol de
navegación.
3. Seleccione un registro a la derecha y active la supervisión del rendimiento de 15 minutos y
24 horas. Establezca la hora de inicio y la hora de finalización.
4. En general, la supervisión del rendimiento no se deshabilitará una vez habilitada, por lo
que no se establece la hora de finalización.
5. La hora de inicio debe ser posterior a la hora actual.
6. Haga clic en Aplicar.
7. Revisa los registros. La hora de inicio debe mostrarse en Establecer monitorización de 15
minutos y Establecer monitorización de rendimiento de 24 horas.
