ENRIQUE VIII

Fue el segundo rey de la casa tudor que reyno en Inglaterra entre 1509-
1547. Hijo del rey séptimo VII que acabo con la vida de Ricardo III de
YORK, en la batalla de BOSWORTH; Finalizando así la guerra de las rosas.
A pesar de ascender al trono, enrique no era el heredero, pero al morir su
hermano Arturo, se convirtió en príncipe de GALES; Unos años después
Enrique llego al trono tras la muerte de su padre; Enrique cuando era
joven, era un príncipe agradable, simpático, con gusto por las artes, era
alto, fuerte y atlético; resultando muy atractivo para las mujeres de esa
época y quería que todos vieran que era el mejor, el más poderoso y que
por ello Enrique añoraba tener un heredero al trono.
Las esposas de enrique VIII fueron: CATALINA DE ARAGÓN, ANA
BOULENE, JANE SEYMOUR, ANA DE CLÉVERIS, CATALINA HOWARD y
CATALINA PARR; entre ellas acusadas de adulterio, conspiraciones y que
fueron decapitadas o ejecutadas en su momento. Entre los hijos de
Enrique mas resaltantes fueron Eduardo e Isabel. Ambos tuvieron una
educación rigurosa y reservada para los herederos, la cual consistía en
estudios centrados en idiomas.
Enrique proclamó un perdón general en Inglaterra, logrando gran
popularidad y apoyo de sus súbditos. En su poder o avaricia que tuvo
Enrique vendió las tierras eclesiásticas, por lo que fue ascendiendo,
fortaleciendo, avanzando en su clase socialmente situada el pueblo con la
nobleza.
Es importante destacar que Enrique en su reinado en la iglesia dijo: Él que
se opusiera a ello seria acusado de alta traición significando la muerte.
