Como tema principal el autor quiere dar a conocer la importancia de las redes de transporte, ya

que es un factor muy importante y en su mayoría es la mejor manera de poder satisfacer al

cliente, y esto incluye que la mercancía siempre llegue en óptimas condiciones
independientemente del medio que decidamos escoger, para transportar el producto y que esto
beneficie tanto al productor como al destino final. Existen algunos medios de transporte como lo
son el aéreo, carretera, marítimo, y ferroviario.

El aéreo: muchas veces es utilizado para productos enviados internacionalmente ya que es una de
las formas más rápidas y es uno de los que se utilizan para ahorrar tiempo.

Por carretera: es una de las maneras más efectivas ya que se pueden entregar la mercancía
puerta a puerta y este medio es uno de los más económicos con grandes o pequeños volúmenes
de entrega.

Marítimo: se utiliza para enviar productos de gran cantidad y este se utiliza internacionalmente ya
que actualmente se encuentran varias rutas marítimas y que se pueden conectar en cualquier
parte del mundo ya que Colombia cuenta con varios puertos importantes.

Férreas: este medio también se utiliza para transportar mercancía con grandes cantidades de
producto uno de los productos más utilizados para transportar con este medio es el carbón o
también productos peligrosos.

Como conclusión es la mejor manera de conocer los diferentes medios de transporte y que es
muy importante, ya que sin ella cada parte del sistema no sería posible en la evolución del mundo
y el crecimiento de nuestra economía dentro del país.
