1. Conectores
Los conectores son una clases de palabras que establecen relaciones entre las partes de un
texto, de forma que si cambiamos de conector, le daremos un sentido totalmente diferente a
una frase.

Not only. . . but. . . as well: no solo. . . sino. . . también
Conectores copulativos
Both. . . and: tanto. . . como
No sooner. . . than: apenas. . . cuando
Ejemplos:
My son wants both to earn money and to work less
Mary plays not only the guitar but the violin as well
Hugs and kisses / Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Se emplean para dar una o varias alternativas . Cada conector disyuntivo afirmativo tiene
su correspondiente negativo. Son los siguientes:
Or: o
Either. . . or: o. . . o
Neither. . . nor: no. . . ni
Conectores disyuntivos
Wether. . . or: si. . . o
Or else: o sino
Otherwise: de otro modo
Ejemplos:
I like neither tea nor coffee/ neither cheap nor nice

1.3. Conectores condicionales en inglés
Unen dos grupos de palabras de manera que uno se cumple o no dependiendo del resultado
del otro.
If/whether: si
Unless: a menos que
Conectores condicionales
Provided/providing/as long as: siempre que, mientras
In case: en caso de que
Ejemplos:

Cuando en un texto hay una frase principal y en otra frase se pone una dificultad a la idea
de la frase principal, estamos
ante un conector concesivo.

Regardless of : sin importar
