guía para el desarrollo de clases virtuales
Describe
something
relevant you
did for the first
or last time.
Objetivos:
Procedimentales:
1. When was the last time you travelled anywhere? The
last time itraveled was last week
2. How did you get there? I travel
by bus from the transport terminal
3. Where did you go? I
traveled to Sogamoso
4. Who did you go with? I travel
with my girlfriend
5. How did you feel? I was a nice and
beautiful experience
Las respuestas que acaba de dar son normalmente parte de los detalles o
información que incluimos cuando escribimos una historia o cuando contamos
una anécdota, como en este caso. Sin embargo, para escribir un texto narrativo
(historia o anécdota), aunque sea corto, necesitaremos de muchos más
componentes como una estructura y algo de vocabulario, por ejemplo, los
conectores (linking words).
Apropiación
Cognitiva:
1. Vocabulary on travelling!
Uno de los usos más emocionantes y útiles del inglés, o de cualquier lengua extranjera en general,
es poder ponerlo en práctica durante un viaje o cualquier experiencia. Aunque parezca intimidante
hablar en otra lengua durante un viaje, es una experiencia desafiante e interesante. A continuación,
encontrará vocabulario útil sobre viajes y turismo.
VOCABULARY
1. Listen to the audios and complete the information missing according to each case. Use the
following vocabulary.
Manchester, Oxford, Exeter, London, Cambridge.
Listening A:
The passenger wants to go to Cambridge
Listening B:
The passenger wants to go to Manchester
Listening C:
The passenger wants to go to Oxford
Listening D:
The train is going to Sand David`s
Listening E:
The passengers want to go to Londres
And es un linking word que une dos oraciones “I am happy” con “I am excited”. Esta
palabra sirve para hacer la oración mucho más fácil y menos repetitiva.
Hay muchas otras formas en que podríamos usar estos linking words.
Result: para agregar una idea que Condition: para presentar una
muestre un resultado condición de lo que se ha dicho
Order: para dar orden a las ideas en un Concession: para aceptar un punto o
texto o una historia una idea
Aquí hay una tabla útil con algunas linking words para que tengas en cuenta:

Linking words are useful when telling stories and anecdotes!
Let’s practice
GRAMMAR/READING. Fill the blank spaces with a linking word
Complete the story using these linking words. (The position of some of the linking
words is up to you as long as you respect their nature and kind)
FOR THIS REASON, AND (X2) , BUT(X2), SO, THEN, AT THE END, AFTER THAT, ABOVE ALL, FIRST
Alan: The weather was rainy and windy and really cold, but I had a great time.
Alan: Yes, they were so beautiful. We also visited two huge art galleries.
Alan: They had exhibitions of the old Dutch painters like Vermeer and Rembrandt.
Alan: I visited one house in Munich that was 800 years old. It was incredible.
Alan: No, not really. I had a very good guide book with me, very informative.
Alan: Yes, after a few days in Munich, I caught the train south to Italy and stayed two days in
Milan.
An advice.
A veces cuando vamos a escribir una historia no sabemos por dónde empezar o no
tenemos claro qué detalles vamos a incluir en ella (especialmente en inglés). Cuando
se sienta en una situación similar, piense en las siguientes palabras:
Got it!
SOMEBODY…WANTED…BUT…SO
Let’s practice
READING. Read the following story about an experience someone had on a trip.
Then summarize the story on the chart below.
We all started panicking and tried to get the water out with little shot glass-sized Dixie
cups. After we gave up all hope of staying afloat, we realized that the anchor had fallen off
the front of the boat…and we were dragging it through miles and miles of endangered coral
reef. So, we pulled the anchor up and went back very embarrassed.”
LINKING WORD:my family rented a boat, so when it was time to sail everyone
got on the boat
LINKING WORD:the boat was moving slowly so we restarted it, then the boat
started to tipo ver from the front
LINKING WORD:we realized that the anchor was being dragget and that is what
caused the overturning of the boat so we were ashamed.
Producción
Now it is your turn to write down an anecdote or a story about a vacation or trip that you had.
Piense en una anécdota de un viaje u otra experiencia que le agrade. Después construirá un texto en
el que narre la experiencia como tal. Para escribirla puede usar la secuencia
SOMEBODY...WANTED...BUT…SO… que aparece en el cuadro. Una vez terminada, transcriba
su historia en un texto normal sin el cuadro.
Puede tener en cuenta las preguntas del inicio de la guía para darse una idea:
Recuerde:
vacation to sogamoso
the car but it did not want to start, so the trip was delayed a bit, but after solving the
problem of the vehicle we started the trip, passing through the city of Tunja we noticed a
strange noise in the car but we did not pay attention to it, when we arrived in Sogamoso
we noticed that one of the tires was out of air, causing that strange noise throughout the
trip, but fortunately it could be solved very quickly, the trip was incredible, I would like
to return soon, but this time I would travel by bus, to avoid delays and complications along
the way.
