PREFACIO

La Sociedad Boliviana de Origami (SBO), del presente año cumplió sus 11 años
de existencia, en el camino han pasado tantas experiencias positivas como
negativas de las que se aprendió mucho, al menos de los encuentros, talleres,
exposiciones o de una de ellas que marcó el camino ante varios países como el
3er. Congreso Latinoamericano de Origami y el 1er. Encuentro Internacional de
Origamistas en nuestra ciudad de La Paz Bolivia.

Señalar estos puntos a esta publicación: La primera, es que este tipo de

actividades incentiva a la comunidad de Origamistas y a quienes están
iniciándose en este maravilloso arte rodeado de grandes sorpresas que trae
consigo cada artista “EN TIEMPOS DE PANDEMIA”, es decir sus experiencias, sus
piezas de exposición, sus diseños, su desapego por compartir todo aquello que
le tomó varios años positivos o negativos pero ahí están para estas ocasiones.
Se queda en experiencias vividas con diferentes personas ligadas o no ligadas
a esta disciplina.

La segunda, el arte que seguimos tiene muchas facetas donde artistas han
tomado una parte de ella para diseñar en diferentes materiales a parte de la
fabricación del papel artesanal, sino que va más allá de sólo fabricar está la de
ser consientes en lo que hemos estado trabajando en años sobre el reciclado,
cuidado del medio ambienté, debe continuar con nuestras acciones.

Quiero terminar con un agradecimiento muy especial al Secretario Municipal de

Culturas el Sr. Andrés Zaratti del Gobierno Autónomo Municipal de La Paz por su
apoyo incondicional durante estos años que dio y da lugar a estas actividades
desde el centro de la ciudad como en los diferentes barrios en donde el Origami
se va promocionando y difundiendo.

Agradecer a nuestros participantes que fueron parte de este libro digital que es
para compartir y de esta manera conocer a diseñadores que se han sumado
a este evento muy importante a nivel mundial.

While looking for unicorn designs in literature I stumbled

upon a very simple one and realized that with a simple
double lateral grafting I could at the same time add
wings and ears. The final result, an alicorn, is simple and
can be quickly folded from half a square of paper.
Moreover, a pegaus can be obtained as well just hiding
the horn.

Buscando modelos de unicornios en la literatura encontré

un modelo muy sencillo y me enteré que con un doble
injerto lateral habría podido facilmente añadir alas y orejas.
El resultado final, un alicornio, se puede doblar facilmente
desde mitad de un cuadrado de papel. Además, se puede
obtener un pegaso simplemente ocultando el cuerno.

From the simple Japanese cranes folded while approaching this art, to the more
detailed models which seem to soar or dance gracefully, cranes are majestic birds
whose main features can be easily outlined through origami.
Given its number of appendices (the head, two legs and two wings), a Frog Base
seemed the natural choice to design a crane model. To have more paper for wide
wings, a border grafting was a simple answer, with the natural advantage of having
more paper to fold the fingers.

Desde las grullas japones dobladas acercandose a este arte, hasta los modelos con más
detalles que parecen despegar o bailar con gracia, las grullas son aves maestosos cuyas
caracteristicas principales pueden ser facilmente resumidas con el origami.
Dado el numero de appendices (la cabeza, dos piernas y dos alas), una Base Rana me
pareció la decisión natural para diseñar un modelo de grulla. Para tener más papel por
alas amplas, un injerto al borde fue una respuesta facil, con el ventaje natural de tener
más papel para doblar los dedos.

As for many people, swans were the first models I have folded.
After folding the simple ones when I was a child, I grew bored of them because they
seemed all similar. Growing up I discovered the beautiful swans of Hoang Tien Quyet,
which changed my mind. They were surely an ispiration for the design of this model.
Besides, some swan models use half of a square, but designing this one I wanted to
use all the paper of a square to give a somewhat realistic proportion between the
body, neck, head and wings. In my requirements to design this model there were also
wide wings, which I appreciate in origami creatures.
I like black swans, so I was happy to realize that additionally, if folded with black and
white paper, this model creates a distribution of colors similar to the plumage of the
real animal.

Como por muchas personas, cisnes fueron los primeros modelos que doblé.
Después de haber plegado muchos cisnes simples cuando era niño, me aburrieron porque
me parecian todos semejantes. Creciendo conocií a los cisnes de Hoang Tien Quyet, que
cambiaron mi opinión. Ellos fueron seguramente una ispiración en el diseño de este
modelo. Además, unos modelos de cisnes usan mitad de un cuadrado, pero diseñando
este modelo quería usar todo el papel de un cuadrado para dar una proporcion un poco
realistica entre el cuerpo, el cuello, la cabeza y las alas. Entre mis requisitos de diseño de
este modelo habían también alas amplas, que valoro mucho en criaturas origami.
Me gustan mucho los cisnes negros, entonces fui feliz de darme cuenta que, si doblado con
papel negro y blanco, este modelo crea una distribucion de color del plumaje semejante a
la del animal real.

I have always loved dragons since childhood, so no wonder my first model design
turned out to be a western dragon. After folding many dragons, I looked for a design
that could be folded even from a square of printer paper but retaining some details I
like in western dragons like wide wings. The inspiration to finally design one came
from Robert Lang's KNL dragon and his description of its design through grafting.
Through additional grafting I added paper to have wider wings and changed the head
with one intermediate between those of Luca Vitagliano's dragon and of Nguyen Linh
Son's Western Dragon.

Siempre he amado a los dragones desde mi infancia, por lo tanto no fue una surprisa que
mi primero modelo sea un dragón europeo. Después de haber plegado muchos dragones,
busqué por un modelo que habría ser podido plegado con un cuadrado de papel de
imprimadora, sin perder detalles que amo en dragones europeos como alas amplas. La
ispiracion por diseñar un dragón vino finalmente desde el dragón KNL de Robert Lang y de
su descripción de la idea de diseñarlo con la tecnica del injerto. Mediante un injerto
adicional añadí papel para obtenir alas más amplas y cambié la cabeza con una
intermediaria entre la del dragón de Luca Vitagliano y la del dragón europeo de Nguyen
Linh Son.

"Poseer y acumular" hacia el "Soltar y ser

y consultar un texto o libro especializado en un,
tema además, exclusivo para gente que gusta del
Arte-Ciencia, la plástica, la geometría, la
ornamentación, la manualidad, y el buen
entretenimiento.

En la Origamiteka podrás consultar de forma

gratuita y abierta 160 textos anillados (por ahora)
y escoger algún modelo que te llame la atención,
hacerte un autodesafío y poder plegarlo ahí
mismo. Dispondremos de una mesita, papeles de
diferentes tamaños, reglas metálicas, estiletes, un
ambiente amistoso y tranquilo, como para que experimentes y pruebes de este bello oficio milenario.

Te invitamos, antes de empezar, a que leas con muuuuuucha atención estos cuatro puntitos:

1. A tomar en cuenta de que se trata de textos inéditos y difíciles de conseguir en nuestro medio, por tanto, te invitamos A
CUIDARLOS y darles buen uso.

2. A recordar que "detrás de ti" vienen nuevas generaciones de niñ@s que ojalá puedan tener la experiencia que vas a tener
tú.

3. Intenta poner en práctica aquella antiiiiigua Regla de Oro, que propone: "Trata a los demás, como quieres ser tratado" y
ponte a tí también, en "los demás". El mundo sería diferente si un@ pensara, sintiera y actuara con esa premisa, verdad?

4. Todos los textos, a partir de hoy, son NUESTROS en plural, y al mismo tiempo de nadie en particular. Están para ser
disfrutados por TOD@S.
