In order to carry out our work as an OCC, we request and receive from the Sunrise Pilot Chief
and the GECA chief of operations, the airport charter that they prepared and the minimum
measures that they propose to be able to operate regularly with the elementary security
measures. We are in frequency with this and consider that regular operations should not be
started if these minimum requirements are not completed, with special attention to
meteorological observation, ground assistance and obstacle removal.
We believe it important that the crews that intend to participate in the operation, as this is a
risk airport, with a marginal operation, must be certified by both companies and know the risks
in detail.
That a Sunrise procedure be drawn up for the operation, given that it is a Sunrise flight and all
crews, regardless of Sunrise or GECA as well as ground personnel, strictly comply, any
changes to the procedure must be approved by management
Special attention must be paid to reducing the risk of obstacles on the approach to have the
entire runway, mark the headlands and the contact area of the runway
Establish a meteorological minimum for the operation, which is known to the crews and the
OCC, it is a visual operation, to an unassisted airport
We consider it very important to enable a person with technical knowledge, who is responsible
for assisting the ground operation, who must provide truthful information about the real time,
and the monitoring of the potential danger of people or animals on the runway due to the state
of Fence
Prepare and educate the personnel who must weigh the passengers and their luggage and an
effective control of the measurements in correspondence with the Paid Load, to avoid
exceeding the maximum take-off and landing weights for WAT curve agreed as a limitation in
the runway analysis .
Create a ground / air and ground / ground communications system that ensures timely
information and decision making
Given that while this situation lasts we will not have anyone trained or certified to assist the
operation in the mother base (read OCC) to the operation, it being understood that it implies an
additional burden for the direction of pilots and for the pilot in command.
We focus these measures on Sunrise's maxim of the first thing is Flight Safety
