Cultura Paracas
La Cultura Paracas fue una importante sociedad en la historia del Perú muy conocidos por su arte textil, sus
momias y por la trepanación craneana para poder curar fracturas y tumores en el cráneo.
Surgieron aproximadamente entre 700 a.C. y 200 d.C., con un amplio conocimiento de riego y gestión del agua.
La mayor parte de nuestra información sobre la vida de los habitantes de la cultura Paracas proviene de las
excavaciones en la necrópolis de Paracas, en primer lugar investigados por el arqueólogo peruano Julio C.
Tello en la década de 1920
Arte Textil
Fueron los más notables en el arte textil con materiales de alta calidad como: alpaca, lana de vicuña, algodón,
plumas multicolores, etc. Utilizaron dibujos geométricos y una hermosa combinación de colores: rojo, azul,
amarillo, negro, blanco, etc.
Es considerado como el mejor de todas las culturas antiguas ya que era muy armoniosa y con muchos colores,
tenían diseños de animales, antropomorfos y geométricos, algunas plumas incluidas.
Los Mantos de la cultura Paracas son conocidos en todo el mundo por su gran calidad y finos tejidos.
Medicina y Cirugía
Eran expertos en operaciones quirúrgicas especialmente en la trepanación de cráneos con el fin de curar
fracturas, infecciones y tumores. Usaban como anestesia la hoja de coca, chicha de jora (bebida alcohólica
hecha de maíz amarillo) para contrarrestar el dolor y evitar las infecciones.
Paracas Culture

Textile art

yellow, black, white, etc.
It is considered as the best of all ancient cultures since it was very harmonious and with many colors, they had
animal designs, anthropomorphic and geometric, some feathers included.
