RESUMEN EJECUTIVO

La tesis Análisis semiótico de los memes ilustrados publicados en el muro del

Facebook, como discursos modernos (2014) es una investigación de carácter
semiótico, ya que tiene el propósito de analizar la estructura semiótica formal de los
memes ilustrados publicados en el muro del Facebook. Este estudio se lleva a cabo
mediante el análisis semiótico, con la finalidad de instaurar a los memes ilustrados
como nuevos discursos modernos y recursos muy importantes de la comunicación,
utilizado por los estudiantes de la Carrera de Ingeniería de Sistemas, de la
Universidad Pública de El Alto, en la gestión 2014. Entonces, este trabajo parte de
un análisis lingüístico hasta llegar a un nivel semiótico.

Para el análisis e interpretación de los memes se diseña un modelo basado en la

teoría de tres autores: Umberto Eco, Eliseo Verón y Roland Barthes. Para validad y
profundizar las interpretaciones los datos semióticos-cualitativos se realiza el
análisis cuantitativo de la encuesta estructurada, en base a los resultados
cualitativos. Con esta fase se pretende conocer la interpretación de las
connotaciones que tiene cada estudiante y los factores que influyen para ello, a
cerca de los diez memes ilustrados. Finalmente, en el análisis se determina el tipo
de texto y discurso que tiene cada uno de ellos. Por lo tanto, para realizar la
recolección y el análisis sistemático de los datos de este tipo de estudio se aplica el
enfoque mixto (cualitativo - cuantitativo) con el método descriptivo.

 SUMMARY

The thesis Análisis semiótico de los memes ilustrados publicados en el muro del
Facebook, como discursos modernos (2014), it is an investigation of character
semiotic, since he/she has the purpose of analyzing the structure formal semiotic of
the cultured memes published in the wall of the Facebook. This investigation studied
by means of the analysis semiotic, with the purpose of establishing to the cultured
memes as new modern speeches and very important resources of the
communication, used by the students of the Career of Engineering of Systems, of
the Public University of The High one, in the administration 2014. Then, this work
leaves of a linguistic analysis until arriving at a level semiotic.

For the analysis and interpretation of the memes is designed a model based on the
theory of three authors: Umberto Eco, Eliseo Verón and Roland Barthes. For you
validate and to deepen the interpretations the semiotic-qualitative data is carried out
the quantitative analysis of the structured survey, based on the qualitative results.
With this phase it is sought to know the interpretation of the connotations that has
each student and the factors that influence for it, to near the ten cultured memes.
Finally, in the analysis it is determined the text type and discourse that it has each
one of them. Therefore, to carry out the gathering and the systematic analysis of the
data of this study type the mixed focus it is applied (qualitative - quantitative) with
the descriptive method.
