The Three Types of People

A teacher shows three toys to a student and asks the student to find out the differences. All the three
toys are seemed to be identical in their shape, size and material. After keen observation, the student
observes holes in the toys. 1st toy it has holes in the ears. 2nd toy has holes in ear and mouth. 3rd toy
has only one hole in one ear.
Un maestro muestra tres juguetes a un alumno y le pide que descubra las diferencias. Los tres juguetes
parecen ser idénticos en su forma, tamaño y material. Después de una observación aguda, el
estudiante observa agujeros en los juguetes. 1er juguete tiene agujeros en los oídos. El segundo
juguete tiene agujeros en la oreja y la boca. El tercer juguete tiene solo un hoyo en una oreja.

Than with the help of needle the student puts the needle in the ear hole of 1st toy. The needle comes
out from the other ear. In the 2nd toy, when the needle was put in ear the needle came out of mouth.
And in the 3rd toy, when the needle was put in, the needle did not come out.

Luego, con la ayuda de la aguja, el estudiante coloca la aguja en el orificio del primer juguete. La aguja
sale por la otra oreja. En el segundo juguete, cuando la aguja se colocó en el oído, la aguja salió de la
boca. Y en el tercer juguete, cuando pusieron la aguja, la aguja no salió.

First toy represent those people around you who gives an impression that they are listening to you, all
your things and care for you. But they just pretend to do so. After listening, as the needle comes out
from the next ear, the things you said to them by counting on them are gone. So be careful while you are
speaking to this type of people around you, who does not care for you.

El primer juguete representa a las personas que te rodean y da la impresión de que te escuchan a ti, a
todas tus cosas y te quieren. Pero solo pretenden hacerlo. Después de escuchar, cuando la aguja sale
de la próxima oreja, las cosas que les dijiste contando con ellas desaparecieron. Así que tenga cuidado
mientras habla con este tipo de personas a su alrededor, que no se preocupan por usted.

Second toy represent those people who listens to you all your things and gives an impression that they
care for you. But as in the toy, the needle comes out from mouth. These people will use your things and
the words you tell them against you by telling it to others and bringing out the confidential issues for their
own purpose.

El segundo juguete representa a las personas que te escuchan todas tus cosas y da la impresión de
que se preocupan por ti. Pero como en el juguete, la aguja sale de la boca. Estas personas utilizarán
sus cosas y las palabras que les cuente en su contra diciéndolas a otros y sacando los asuntos
confidenciales para su propio propósito.

Third toy, the needle does not come out from it. These kinds of people will keep the trust you have in
them. They are the ones who you can count on.
Tercer juguete, la aguja no sale de él. Este tipo de personas mantendrán la confianza que tienes en
ellos. Ellos son aquellos con los que puedes contar.

Moral: Always stay in a company of a people who are loyal and trustworthy. People, who listen to
what you tell them, are not always the ones you can count on when you need them the most.

Moraleja: siempre alójate en una compañía de personas que sean leales y confiables. Las personas
que escuchan lo que les dices no siempre son las personas con las que puedes contar cuando más las
necesitas.

The Monkey and The Crocodile

Once upon a time, a clever monkey lived in a tree that bore juicy, red rose apples. He was very happy.
One fine day, a crocodile swam up to that tree and told the monkey that he had traveled a long distance
and was in search of food as he was very hungry. The kind monkey offered him a few rose apples. The
crocodile enjoyed them very much and asked the monkey whether he could come again for some more
fruit. The generous monkey happily agreed.

The crocodile returned the next day. And the next. And the next one after that. Soon the two became
very good friends. They discussed their lives, their friends and family, like all friends do. The crocodile
told the monkey that he had a wife and that they lived on the other side of the river. So the kind monkey
offered him some extra rose apples to take home to his wife. The crocodile’s wife loved the rose apples
and made her husband promise to get her some every day.
Meanwhile, the friendship between the monkey and the crocodile deepened as they spent more and
more time together. The crocodile’s wife started getting jealous. She wanted to put an end to this
friendship. So she pretended that she could not believe that her husband could be friends with a
monkey. Her husband tried to convince her that he and the monkey shared a true friendship. The
crocodile’s wife thought to herself that if the monkey lived on a diet of rose monkeys, his flesh would be
very sweet. So she asked the crocodile to invite the monkey to their house.

The crocodile was not happy about this. He tried to make the excuse that it would be difficult to get the
monkey across the river. But his wife was determined to eat the monkey’s flesh. So she thought of a
plan. One day, she pretended to be very ill and told the crocodile that the doctor said that she would only
recover if she ate a monkey’s heart. If her husband wanted to save her life, he must bring her his friend’s
heart.

The crocodile was aghast. He was in a dilemma. On the one hand, he loved his friend. On the other, he
could not possibly let his wife die. The crocodile’s wife threatened him saying that if he did not get her
the monkey’s heart, she would surely die.

So the crocodile went to the rose apple tree and invited the monkey to come home to meet his wife. He
told the monkey that he could ride across the river on the crocodile’s back. The monkey happily agreed.
As they reached the middle of the river, the crocodile began to sink. The frightened monkey asked him
why he was doing that. The crocodile explained that he would have to kill the monkey to save his wife’s
life. The clever monkey told him that he would gladly give up his heart to save the life of the crocodile’s
wife, but he had left his heart behind in the rose apple tree. He asked the crocodile to make haste and
turn back so that the monkey could go get his heart from the apple tree.

The silly crocodile quickly swam back to the rose apple tree. The monkey scampered up the tree to
safety. He told the crocodile to tell his wicked wife that she had married the biggest fool in the world.
Moral: Don’t underestimate yourself. There are bigger fools in this world.
