INTRODUCTION
The objective of this topic is to inform about the life of Paolo the best player
the Peruvian Team. Maybe there are some or many people don't know
about him, they only see when he plays in Peru.
He started his sports career when he was only 7 years old in the minors
divisions of the Alianza Lima Club so I think there are some children or
teenagers that want to be like him. And to be a soccer player, a person
has to be very disciplined and orderly.
Actually Paolo is the captain and the top scorer in the history of the
Peruvian National Team. When I was a child I liked playing soccer, I would
like to be a professional footballer, but for health reasons I couldn't.
When I was 17 years old I went to Lima with my dad. We went to see the
match between Peru and Chile. There I was near to meeting Paolo but
there were a lot of people.

1. BIOGRAPHY
José Paolo Guerrero Gonzales was born on January 1, 1984 in Chorrilos,
Lima – Peru. He is a Peruvian footballer, he plays like striker and his
current team is Flamengo Regatta Club of Brazil.
He is a outstanding with the Peruvian Soccer Team, of which he is the
captain and the top score in history.
Son of José Guerrero and Petronila Gonzáles, he grew up iin Chorrillos of
the city Lima. He studied at the Red Kings School, where he was a partner
of the Peruvian footballer Jefferson Farfán.
He began his sports career in the minor divisions of the Alianza Lima Club,
and then he went to the team of Bayer Munich B of Germany. In 2004 he
debuted for the professional team of Bayer, winning 2 Bundesligas an 2
German cups.
In 2006 he signed for Hamburg getting the Intertoto Cup in 2007.
In 2012, he signed for Corinthians, winning the Paulista Championship, a
Club World Cup with his goal against Chelsea in 2013. He was recognized
as the best striker and the third best player, receiving the Bronze Ball.
Months later he became the top scorer in the history of the Timão with 54
goals, being recognized as the best striker of the year 2014 in Brazil.
In 2015, he signed for Flamengo, where he won the Carioca Championship
in 2017. And he was recognized as the best player and top foreign scorer,
scoring 42 goals.
With the Peruvian soccer team, he is the top scorer with 32 goals. He has
won 2 bronze medals in the Copa America in 2011 and 2015, also being
the top scorer of these two editions. In 2015 he was one of the 59
nominated players to the Golden Ball, becoming the first Peruvian in
history to belong to this list.
During the 2017 his participation in the Selection was determining in the
classification of Peru to the World Cup one after 36 years,

2. TRAJECTORY
A) Alianza Lima
Paolo started his career in football in 1991, when he was only 7 years old
in the minor divisions of the Alianza Lima Club. All his formative stage as
a child he did in this minor club and thanks to his good performances with
the ball, he was ascended to the first team in 2001 with Jefferson Farfán.
Paolo could never play an official match with the official club, but if it helped
him grow as a footballer.
B) Bayer Múnich
On September 2002, Bayern Munich B of Germany incorporated Paolo
after passing a hard test. He played two seasons with this minor team,
winning the championship on May 30, 2004.
Thanks to good performances in the minor team, Paolo played the first
match with the team of Bayer Munich A on October 23, 2004. Where he
played four seasons and scoring twelve goals with the official team.
In June 2006 he left the discipline of Bayern Munich. to later be part of
Hamburg.

C) Hamburgo
Paolo arrived at Hamburgo in 2006, scoring his first two goals, but his
participation in the first seasons was affected by an injury
In the second seasons Paolo scored twenty goals, coming the official
striker of Hamburgo and also he scored his first hat-trick in his professional
career.
In 2012, German Football Federation sanctioned Paolo for hitting a fan
with the bottle of water and for kicking goalkeeper Oh Bayer Leverkusen.
D) Corinthians
In 2012, he signed for Corinthians of Brazil. club where he wins the
ownership and reached the Paulista Championship, a Club World Cup and
receiving the Bronze Ball as the best striker in that cup.
With Corinthians in 2015, Paolo reached the title of the South America
Recopa and becoming the top foreign scorer in the club, scoring 54 goals.
E) Flamengo
Guerrero joined Flamengo on May 29, 2015. Scoring five goals in five
consecutive match, which he wins the admiration of the mengao fans, who
created the anthem 'Acabou o caô. O Guerrero chegou' in his honor.
in the 2017 Guerrero won the Carioca championship and reaching the third
top scorer in the season. Paolo scored 15 goals with Flamengo. Guerrero
left Flamengo on May 14, 2018, after receiving a penalty for FIFA.

3) PERU SELECTION
Paolo started playing for the selection in minor categories, reaching to win
the Bolivarian Games (2001) and scoring five goals.
When he was 20 years old, he made his debut with the senior selection
against Bolivia.
Paolo participated in the America Cup 2007, reaching the quarterfinals
with the selection and being considered the best player.
Paolo was injured in an elimination match to The World Cup, he left without
playing for seven months.
In 2011 Paolo returned to participate with the national team, scoring 5
goals and becoming the top scorer of the championship. Also, he was
considered in the ideal team of the Copa America.
The participation of Paolo was indisputable in the selection during the
qualifiers for the World Cup Brazil in 2014. But the low performance of the
team, the selection was outside The World Cup.

In the America Cup 2015, Paolo scored his first hat-trick with the National
Team and becoming in the top scorer of the championship.
In the classification for The Word Cup Russia 2018, Paolo become the
most beloved player. Thanks his goal against Colombia, National Team
plays the repechage and achieving qualify to The Word Cup after 36 years
old of anguish.
In the repechage matches Paolo was excluded from the National team,
after FIFA sanctioned Paolo for a year without playing, after having tested
positive in an anti-doping test. But months later his lawyers managed to
reduce the sanction to only six months.
Paolo has currently been sanctioned by the CAS for 14 months without
participation in football, leaving him out of the National team and the World
Cup 2018.
4) PERSONAL LIFE
Paolo has always been a very humble person inside and outside the field.
On his vacations he visited poor children and gave them balls and gave
them messages of reflection.
Paolo Guerrero also ventured into the world of cinema, through his
biographical film where scenes from his childhood, beginnings in football,
the minor divisions of Alianza Lima and family life in his neighborhood. The
film was released on December 8, 2016 in Peru.

CONCLUSIONS
Paolo has reached to be a good strike and win a lot of competitions
with his teams, thanks to his performances with the ball inside the
field. He has been the first Peruvian to win the Club Word Cup.
Paolo has been recognized worldwide, because since childhood
he has practiced and he has been very organized and orderly, and
thanks to his mom and his coach he managed to be a good
footballer.
Paolo has always been very humble and very dedicated to his
career, therefore he must participate in the World Cup with the
National team.
