Sources of analyses:
Michael Cardew, "Pioneer Pottery" (1969)
Herbert H. Sanders. "The World of Japanese Ceramics" (?)
John W. Conrad, "Advanced Ceramic Manual" (1987)
David Green, "A Handbook of Pottery Glazes" (1979)
Robert Tichane, "Those Celadon Blues" (1978)
Phil Rogers, "Ash Glazes" (1991)

Techniques" 4th edition (1997)
More ash analyses can be obtained from Robert Tichane, "Ash Glazes"
(1987). Tichane in turn refers to two sources: Thorpe's "Dictionary of
Applied Chemistry" (1937?) contains analyses of ash from many
vegetable materials. The second and most complete source (also used by
Thorpe) is Emil Wolff's "Aschen Analysen" (1880), in German. This is
reportedly the most comprehensive compilation of ash analyses in
existence.
A table of Australian wood ash analyses can be found on pg. 199 of Ian
Currie's "Stoneware Glazes" 2nd ed. (1985). The table contains about
30 analyses.
