deportiva a todos los niveles: profesional, colegial y amateur (Guskiewicz et al., 2004;
Echemendia et al., 2011).
En este sentido, la neuropsicologa es til en el diagnstico y prevencin de
alteraciones cognitivas como consecuencia de la prctica deportiva. La aplicacin de
bateras neuropsicolgicas ha mostrado tener un gran valor clnico, ya que aporta
informacin importante sobre el estado cognoscitivo de los deportistas, asimismo,
permitir precisar el manejo de los atletas que han sufrido una CC; si estn en
condiciones de reiniciar su actividad, o retirarse oportunamente. La finalidad es dar
apoyo individual a los deportistas.
No obstante, es necesario seguir realizando investigacin que permita mejorar
algunos aspecto relativos a la evaluacin neuropsicolgica en el manejo de la CC;
