Lo primero que Dzongzar Khyentse Rimpoche trata de hacer en su presentacin, es

dejar en claro que el amor del que se habla en el budismo es muy diferente del amor
que se tiene en mente cuando de relaciones de pareja hablamos. Para el budismo, el
amor y la compasin tienen una relacin intrnseca; en el vdeo podemos encontrar
que justo despus de hablar de esta distincin, el Rimpoche dice: -Karuna/Metta-. Esta
es una de las definiciones ms claras que encontr en la red: The Pali commentaries
distinguish between karu and mett in the following complementary manner:
Karuna is the desire to remove harm and suffering (ahita-dukkha-apanayakmat) from others; while mett is the desire to bring about the well-being
and happiness (hita-sukha-upanaya-kmat) of others.1
