It is located in los Jameos del Agua, one of the Centres of Art, Culture and Tourism of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, in the volcanic tunnel of the Corona volcano (Hara). Contac: 928 848 101 / casadelosvolcanes@cabildodelanzarote.com Visiting hours: Daytime / From Monday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Admission: 8 (general), 4 (children) and 1 (residents) Nightime / Tuesdays and Saturdays, from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Admission: 9 (general), 4.5 (children) and 4.20 (residents).

The genesis of the atmosphere and life in the evolution of the planet and the continental drift according to the theory of the tectonic plates. Murals by Jesus Soto and Cesar Manrique. High floor: dedicated to colonization (animal-plant), to man and volcano. The House of Volcanoes is connected to the main volcanic observatories and receives information from volcanic activity anywhere in the world.

SITUACIN ACTUAL
La Casa de los Volcanes ha recibido diversas distinciones. Su director es Jaime Arranz Felipe. Se realizan diversas actividades con objetivo turstico, educativo y de investigacin. Destacamos: a) Cientficas: investigacin geodinmicas; edicin de libros cientficos; realizacin de cursos y congresos. b) Didcticas y culturales: visitas guiadas y formacin a escolares y profesionales a travs del aula de la Naturaleza. c) Tursticas: exposiciones. ALSO OF INTEREST
The House of Volcanoes has received various awards. It is directed by Jaime Felipe Arranz. Several activities are developed with tourist, educational and research objectives. We highlight: (a) Scientific: geodynamic research; publication of scientific books; organization of courses and congresses. (b) Educational and cultural: guided visits and training of students and professionals through the Aula de la Naturaleza (Nature Room). (c) Tourism: exhibitions. HISTORIA
Se crea en 1987, siendo ampliada en 2005. Es sede del Laboratorio de Geodinmica de Lanzarote, un centro mixto de colaboracin entre el Cabildo Insular y el Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientficas de Espaa (CSIC). Su concepcin arquitectnica y ambiental se debe a Jess Soto (1928-2003).

HISTORY
It was created in 1987 and was extended in 2005. It is home to the Laboratory of Geodynamic of Lanzarote, a joint centre set up under the partnership of the Cabildo Insular and the Higher Council of Scientific Research of Spain (CSIC). Jesus Soto (1928-2003) was responsible for its architectural and environmental design.
