 HISTORIA
La historia de Corea del Sur
comienza con el establecimiento del
estado seguido de la división de la
península coreana. Después de la
rendición de Japón a los Aliados, la
división en el paralelo 38 marcó el
comienzo de la administración
soviética y estadounidense sobre el
Norte y Sur, respectivamente.
 IDIOM
A
El sistema de escritura coreana es el
hangul, es un sistema alfabético y
fonético inventado en el siglo xv por
Sejong el Grande. En el idioma
académico y literario, es todavía
común el uso de la combinación del
alfabeto coreano con caracteres
provenientes del idioma chino,
denominados hanja.
HANGEU
L El nombre “Hangeul”
combina la coreana “han”
( 한 ), que significa “grande”,
y “geul” ( 글 ), que significa
“escritura”. Sin embargo, la
palabra “han” también se
utiliza para referirse a Corea
en general, por lo que el
nombre también puede
traducirse como “escritura
coreana”.
El alfabeto coreano o Hangul
consta de 24 letras básicas: 14
consonantes ( ㄱ ㄴ ㄷ ㄹ ㅁ ㅂ
ㅅ ㅇ ㅈ ㅊ ㅋ ㅌ ㅍ ㅎ ) y 10
vocales ( ㅏ ㅑ ㅓ ㅕ ㅗ ㅛ ㅜ
ㅠ ㅡ ㅣ ). Además, a medida
que te adentres en él,
descubrirás que en realidad hay
19 letras complejas con 5
consonantes tensas ( ㄲ ㄸ ㅃ ㅉ
ㅆ ) y 11 vocales complejas ( ㅢ
ㅚㅐㅟㅔㅒㅖㅘㅝㅙㅞ)
formadas al combinar las letras
básicas.
GASTRONOMÍA
La gastronomía coreana está
principalmente basada en arroz,
vegetales y carne. Las comidas
coreanas tradicionales son
conocidas por la gran variedad
de guarniciones ( 반찬 ;
banchan) que acompañan al
arroz de grano pequeño cocido
al vapor.

Corea tiene clima continental
