Descripción
El libro se estructura a modo de un diálogo en
torno a preguntas de ética sexual: fecundación
artificial, sexo en adolescentes, píldora del día
después, aborto, métodos anticonceptivos,
preservativo y SIDA, entre muchas más… Y es
un nuevo modo de presentar al público las
posiciones éticas de la iglesia sobre cuestiones
sexuales.

La cultura dominante, en efecto trata de legitimar la separación
de las relaciones y el amor , del afecto y la fidelidad, la
sexualidad y la procreación. Así pretende reducir la dimensión
sexual del varón y la mujer a la satisfacción de placer y de
dominio, aislados e irresponsables.

Como el autor dice se han de denunciar algunas iniciativas o

campañas oficiales de información. Hay campañas que actúan a
nivel que buscan suscitar entre niños y los jóvenes el temor con
la “amenaza de sobrepoblación”. Por un lado está bien que
informen a los jóvenes sobre la salud sexual, pero por el otro
lado estamos hablando de campañas promotoras del aborto o del
uso del preservativo dando a entender que pueden tener
relaciones a corta edad mientras uno se proteja.

Los padres también son los primeros artífices de la conciencia
moral de los hijos y aunque la educación sexual es parte
importante de las funciones de los padres y las madres, esta no es
asumida adecuada y efectivamente puesto que una buena
proporción de padres y madres dejan al azar la educación sexual de
sus hijos, evitando asumir una posición proactiva e intencional y
delegan en la escuela y en los medios de comunicación esta
responsabilidad. Muchos padres piensan que si el hijo asiste a la
escuela, ellos se pueden desentender de su responsabilidad en la
educación sexual de sus hijos; pero es necesario para el/la niño/a y
el/la adolescente contar con el apoyo, la confianza y la
comprensión a sus dudas y conflictos, que solo un canal de
comunicación afectiva y efectiva entre padres e hijos puede lograr.

El amor, que se alimenta y se expresa en el encuentro del hom-
bre y de la mujer, es don de Dios; es por esto fuerza positiva,
orien-tada a su madurez en cuanto personas; es a la vez una
preciosa reserva para el don de sí que todos, hombres y mujeres,
están lla-mados a cumplir para su propia realización y felicidad,
según un proyecto de vida que representa la vocación de cada
uno. El hom-bre, en efecto, es llamado al amor como espíritu
encarnado, es decir, alma y cuerpo en la unidad de la persona. El
amor humano abraza también el cuerpo y el cuerpo expresa
igualmente el amor espiritual.
La concepción de la sexualidad que mantiene la
Iglesia. Siempre se nos ha transmitido que el placer
sexual para la Iglesia siempre es algo negativo, malo,
pecaminoso, y que si no fuera porque sirve para
tener hijos, seguramente los curas lo prohibirían... Sí,
ya sé que te parece un poco exagerado esto que te
digo, pero de este modo se nos ha hecho ver durante
años la concepción católica de la sexualidad...La
sexualidad es fuente de alegría y de agrado. El
Creador esta-bleció que en esta función (de
generación) los esposos experimen- tasen un placer
y una satisfacción del cuerpo y del espíritu. Por tanto,
los esposos no hacen nada malo procurando ese
placer y gozando de él. Aceptan lo que el Creador les
ha destinado. Sin embargo, los esposos deben saber
mantenerlo en los límites de una justa moderación.
