OFIMATICA.
This type of conditional is used in situations where if a condition is met, a certain
result is likely to occur.

Este tipo de condicional se usa en situaciones en las que si se cumple una condición,
es probable que se dé un resultado determinado.

El First Conditional se forma con el presente simple después de “if” y luego, en la

segunda frase o clause debes utilizar el futuro simple.

Ejemple: Si ahorro mucho podre ir al concierto de Harry Styles.

CONDICION RESULTADO
 Examples:

 If yo study hard, you'll get good  Si estudio mucho, obtendrás

marks.
■ If I have time, I’ll call you.
■ If she has enough money next year,
she’ll buy a motorbike.

 CONDICION RESULTADO

Para expresar la forma negativa del first conditional deberá realizarse la negación de la if - clause –
y en otros casos la negación de las dos partes del condicional.

Examples:
■ If he calls me, I won’t answer.
■ If I don’t study hard, I won’t pass the exam.
■ If you eat something now, you won’t be hungry later.
 Si me llama, no responderé.
 Si no estudio mucho, no aprobaré el
examen.
 Si comes algo ahora, no tendrás
hambre más tarde.
Examples:
■ What will you do if you fail your test?  ¿Qué harás si no pasas la prueba?
■ Where will you go if you move out of you  ¿A dónde irá si se muda de la casa de sus
parents’ house? padres?
 ¿Qué dirás si te pide tu opinión?
■ What will you say if she asks for your
opinion?

This type of conditional is used to talk about events that are unlikely to happen
in the future.

Este tipo de condicional se usa para hablar sobre hechos que son poco

probables que sucedan en el futuro.

Ejemplo: Si One Direction regresara no perdería su gira.

■ If he were our boss, we’d call him sir.

RESULTADO
 Si fuera hombre, me dejaría la barba.
 Si fuera nuestro jefe, lo llamaríamos señor.
 ¡Si fuéramos guerreros, lucharíamos contra el
mal!

he would've arrested him.
■ The buildings wouldn’t have burned to
ashes if the firemen had come in time.
■ People wouldn’t have cross the
Bosphorus, if they hadn't built those

RESULTADO
■ Si el policía no hubiera visto al ladrón,
lo habría arrestado.
■ Los edificios no se habrían reducido a
cenizas si los bomberos hubieran llegado
a tiempo.
■ La gente no habría cruzado el Bósforo si
no hubiera construido esos puentes.
