CASO HISTORICO

• En una serie de 8 tanques evaluados se encontró que luego

de cerca de 9 años de estar pintados la mitad de ellos
presentaba adherencia excelente pero entizamiento
elevado y bajos espesores de pintura.

• Se recomendó aplicar chorro de arena a los que más

averiado tenían el sistema de pinturas, y evaluar un repinte
en los que presentaban recubrimientos aceptables. Se lavó,
se retiró el entizamiento con lija y agua .

• se aplicaron varios sistemas los cuales dieron buena

adherencia y por su buen comportamiento a la intemperie
calificaron para los repintes.

Conclusiones
• Tenemos sistemas de Recubrimientos de alto desempeño en el país,
que son amigables con el medio ambiente que permiten prolongarle la
vida útil a un viejo sistema de pintura.

• El cliente debe definir parámetros claros que soporten la decisión de

prolongar la vida útil de un viejo sistema de Pinturas.

• Existen alternativas económicas para repinte de tanques sin utilizar

chorro abrasivo las que puede ser tenidas en cuenta para un
mantenimiento preventivo rápido y efectivo.

• Sugerimos tener especial cuidado en la evaluación “Técnica” del viejo

sistema de pinturas, para que la decisión del repintado esté soportada.
