vive actualmente. Use los adjetivos aprendidos en clase y otros que considere adecuados para
completar su actividad.
Riohacha es una ciudad con un rico historial y posición geográfica privilegiada. Es una de las
ciudades más antigua de Colombia, fue visitada frecuentemente por mercaderes y piratas en
busca de tesoros especialmente perlas.

En ella se encuentra la primera avenida de América del Sur, es la capital del Departamento (La
Guajira) más septentrional de Colombia y relaciones comerciales con los países de caribeños. En
sus primeras calles y avenidas se encuentran casas con arquitectura colonial, gastronomía diversas
y hermosa vista al mar caribe. Su gente tiene herencia africana, europea e indígena. Su dialecto
muy marcado, con tono evidentemente costeño y todos se saludan con la expresión: “que más
primo”

Riohacha tiene un estadio de fútbol muy atractivo, en donde se puede practicar muchas disciplinas
deportivas. Por la playa se encuentra el centro de cultura, grandes edificios, locales comerciales,
ventas de artesanías y muchos turistas nacionales e internacionales. Es cuna de grades figuras del
folclore vallenato y una de las plazas mas apetecida del bolero a mediados del siglo XX. Su clima
es cálido, con una vegetación tropical y su territorio es atravesado por caudaloso rio llamado Rio
Ranchería.

beach is the center of culture, large buildings, shops, craft shops and many national and
international tourists. It is the cradle of great figures of Vallenato folklore and one of the most
desired squares of bolero in the mid-twentieth century. Its climate is warm, with tropical vegetation
and its territory is crossed by a mighty river called Rio Ranchería.
