The president of Peru, Dina Boluarte, who assumed power on

December 7, 2022, hours after her predecessor attempted to

carry out a coup, misunderstood the mandate she received
from the beginning.
That day, when he was sworn in as president in front of the
Congress of the Republic and before a country that hours
before had survived one of the most traumatic events that a
democracy can experience, Boluarte said that he would
assume office “from now until July 26 of 2026”.
Likewise, the expectations for the current government do not
seem to be the best since 46% of the population believes that
under the current government the political situation will worsen
and 29% believe that it will remain the same. Only 17% believe
that there will be improvements. Considering that the situation
will be worse, they are found mainly in urban areas outside of
Lima and those are concentrated in people between 25 and 39
years of age.

La presidenta de Perú, Dina Boluarte, quien asumió el poder el 7 de

diciembre de 2022, horas después de que su antecesor intentara perpetrar
un golpe de Estado, entendió mal desde un inicio el mandato que recibió.
Ese día, cuando juró la presidencia delante del Congreso de la República
y ante un país que horas antes había sobrevivido a uno de los eventos
más traumáticos que puede experimentar una democracia, Boluarte dijo
que asumía el cargo “desde este momento hasta el 26 de julio de
2026”.Asimismo, las expectativas por el gobierno de turno no parecen ser
las mejores ya que el 46% de la población considera que bajo el actual
gobierno la situación política empeorará y el 29% considera que seguirá
igual. Tan solo un 17% cree que existirán mejoras. Que considerando que
la situación será peor se encuentran principalmente en las zonas urbanas
fuera de Lima y aquellas se concentran en personas de 25 a 39 años.
