Installing WordPress

Plugin Installation
With the activation of Directory Box theme, you are prompted with admin notices that certain plugins are required for the theme. Following
plugins are need to be activated for DirectoryListing theme to work properly.
1. Slider Revolution (Required)
2. WP Directory (Custom post Type management Plugin) (Required)
3. Loco Translate (Optional) Manage and edit all gettext translation files (*.po/*.mo) directly out of WordPress Admin Centre without any
need of an external editor.
4. Contact From 7 (Optional) This theme have custom contact form. For extended contact forms, activate this plugin.
5. Envato WordPress Toolkit (Optional) view your ThemeForest purchases within the WordPress dashboard and quickly update your theme
without losing any data & settings of theme
6. Force Regenerate Thumbnails (Optional) Regenerate the thumbnails for your image attachments if you have moved from another theme
and your images are not working properly
7. Quick Cache (Optional) Page caching for WordPress to Speed up your site.

You can activate these plugins by two methods;


1- Click the “Install Plugin” link which comes along with the admin notices to activate these plugins.
2- If you are prompted with any admin notices, you can activate these plugins by navigating to Appearance > Install Plugins section.
Note: Required plugins must be activated, otherwise theme will not function properly. However, optional plugins are your choice. Activate
them only if they are required.

Run Demo Slider

evolution Slider comes wrapped with Directory Box Theme. It is a premium slider available as a WordPress plugin. It has gained huge popularity
in the WordPress community due to its huge range of features and ease of use.

Installing & Activating the Slider


To use Revolution slider, first it is required to install & activate the revolution slider, please follow the following steps to achieve this;
Step 1- Navigate to theme admin panel, navigate to option of Appearance and click it.
Step 2- Few option will open under the Appearance, click on Install plugins
Step 3- It will take you to the Install required plugin page, HERE you will see the Revolution Slider option.
Step 4- Click on the install option which is just under the Revolution slider.
Step 5- After that you have to click on Activate the revolution slider, which is also under the revolution slider. That’s it, you have
successfully activated revolution slider.

Importing Demo Slider


After installing & activating Revolution slider, now you need to import demo data of slider to make it look like our demo. Follow the following
steps to achieve it.
Step 1- Navigate to theme admin panel where and go to Revolution Slider. Click on it, it will take you to new window Slider revolution.
Step 2- Go to the bottom of this page, there is a button of Import slider on right side of the page.
Step 3- As soon as you click on this button, a pop up window will open, click on the button Choose File choose dummy data file from your
system.
Note: Dummy data file can be found in theme folder which you downloaded from Themeforest, extract that file, save it on your system & then
choose this file to upload in step 3
Step 4- Click on the button Import Slider, wait for a while till import is complete. You have successfully imported the slider!

How to add Advance search filter on revolution slider instead of Map?

Follow following steps to add Advance search filter on revolution slider instead of Map.
1. Add "Directory Search" element on page
1.1. Set enable Map to : "OFF"
1.2. Set Enable Map in Responsive to : "OFF" (To turn off map in responsive view and to show slider)
1.3. Choose Search Views: "View 3"
1.4. Select Search Result Page as "Listing Plain heading"
2. Edit page element section to add Slider on background
3. Select Background view as "Custom Slider"
4. Add Slider short code
5. Select view as "Wide"
6. Adjust margins and padding:
padding top: 0px;
padding-bottom: 10px;
margin-bottom: 50px;
margin-top: -65px;
7. Select Layout (If you want to add sidebar to page section) Save. All Done!

How to Update Directory Theme?

Keep your theme update to the latest version in order to get all features as per theme's live demo. To update your theme to latest version follow
following simple steps:
1. Maintain Complete backup of your site and database before theme update in order to avoid any potential data loss.
2. Go to theme forest download dashboard, select "Download all Files", get
the latest updated files.
3. Deactivate the previous theme version from WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Themes > Deactivate Theme
4. Upload Latest updated theme version on your site via ftp or WordPress dashboard as feel comfortable.
To Update wp-directory plugin:
You can find "wp-directory" plugin in theme's package. Follow path.
directory-themeincludetheme-componentscs-activation-plugins
Replace it via ftp.

Directory

Add New Directory


Directory ad is among one of the main feature for Directory Box theme. User can easily post his/her directory ad from dashboard or front end. To
add new directory directory from back end, follow these simple steps;
Step-1. Navigate to admin panel and click on Directory > Add New Directory.
Step-2. Add title, Description and details . Scroll to the bottom of page where you will see options to customize your directory ad. Select the
options that you want to add on your site & hit Publish button. All Done!
Note: All those options you add while creating directory ad will be available for users when they will submit an add from front end.
Following options can be availed in directory options:

Directory Options
 Select Organizer: Ad's Organiser is the (person/user/agent/agency) who will post his/her ad on directory site. Admin may change the
Ad's Organizer from the dropdown list of all users.
==> You can get Information about users (Ad Organiser's) from:
Dashboard >> Users >> Edit User
 Packages: Here you need to select the package that you want for your ad, Package may be Free or featured that you will configure in:
Dashboard >> Directory >> Directory settings >> Packages
 Package Expiry Date: Select package Expiry date for your selected package,
Note: This feature will helpful in case of featured ads, Ad will remain featured until your package expiry couldn't expire, as soon as the
date will expire for featured ad, featured ad will behave as free ad on frontend.
 Package Payment Date: Select payment date for your selected package
Note: If you want to make your ad free, Make your package expiry date and package payment date fields should be empty.
 Urgent till: Select the date to have urgent tag on your ad.
==> Urgent is a tag to show that the specific ad's owner is in hurry to sell his ad. So that's why you can specify in theme options that this
ad will remain urgent for specified no of featured days. Visit: CS Theme options >> Directory settings >> Ads submission >> Featured Ad
>> No of Days
 Select Directory Type: Select the desired directory type
 Categories: Select the desired categories that you have already assigned to specific directory types.
Note: You can assign category only 1 time to any directory type next time it will not show up for any other directory type that you added
after because if not it might conflict with search filter that to which directory type specific category belongs so to avoid this you can assign
category to one directory type.
 Add Video: Add Video url (You can add Youtube, Vimeo, Dailymotion Videos url etc.)
Note: You can only add 1 video as url in directory listing.
 Price: Add Old price, New Price, and phoneNo and Features from the list.
==> You can add more features as per directory type selected by editing directory type >> Feature list >> Add feature
 Enter Opening Hours
 Enter FAQS
 Locations: Select Country, State, city, complete address and Address
==> Add Country, state and city from: Dashboard >> Directory >> Locations
==> Complete address: Complete address is the address of directory ad
==> Address, Latitude and Longitude (Fields used to search address or location on map)
 Select Custom features of added.
Select the options that you want to add on your site & hit Publish button. All Done!

Categories

Categories is most flexible option to organize your business categories in Directory Listing theme. To add new category from back end, follow
these simple steps;
Step-1. Navigate to admin panel and click on Dashboard > Directory > Category.
Step-2. Add and Select the options that you want to add on your site & hit Publish button. All Done!
Note: You can assign category only 1 time to any directory type next time it will not show up for any other directory type that you added after
because if not it might conflict with search filter that to which directory type specific category belongs so to avoid this you can assign
category to one directory type.
Setting Directory Types
Directory type is among one of the main feature for Directory Box theme. It helps you to set attributes for all your directories. For example, a
directory type for Motors allows you to set all features for a post related to motors. When you add motor directory type, you can set it the ads
types like free paid, categories for it like car, Jeep, truck, motorcycle etc, make, model & other specific features can be added for a particular
directory type. It is important to note there that Directory type is set from admin panel (website back end) and everything added in it will be
available for user who wants to post add from front end. to set up Directory type, follow these simple steps;
Step-1. Navigate to admin panel and click on Directory > Directory Type.
Step-2. Add title & Description for directory type. Scroll to the bottom of page where you will see options to customize your directory type.
Select the options that you want to add on your site & hit Publish button. All Done!
Note: All those options you add while creating directory type will be available for users when they will submit an add from front end.
Following options can be availed in directory type settings;

Options:

1.
FAQ (Switch ON/OFF) - Switch off the button if don't want to show faq's on Ad detail page.
2. Locations (Switch ON/OFF) - Switch off the button if don't want to show location field while posting ad from frontend as well as backend.
3. Price (Switch ON/OFF) - Ad Price Show/Hide Switch off the button if you don't want to have price option and details specific to directory
type.
Note: This feature will help you create business listing in which you don't want to display price for the listings.
4. Save Favourites (Switch ON/OFF) - Switch off the button if don't want to have Favourites option on ads.
5. User Contact Info (Switch ON/OFF) - Switch off the button if don't want to show user contact details on ad detail page i-e Contact Info,
Enquire Now form etc.
6. Opening Hours (Switch ON/OFF) - Switch off the button if don't want to show user contact details on ad detail page
7. Enable Upload of Images (Switch ON/OFF) - Switch off the button if don't want to allow upload images while posting ad
8. Enable Upload of Attachment (Switch ON/OFF) - Switch off the button if don't want to allow attachment's upload while posting ad
9. Enable Video (Switch ON/OFF) - Switch off the button if don't want to allow option for video url while posting ad
10. Enable Tags (Switch ON/OFF) - Switch off the button if don't want to show tags on ad detail page
11. Enable Reviews (Switch ON/OFF) - Switch off the button if don't want to show reviews on ad detail page
12. Enable Multiple Categories (Switch ON/OFF) - Enable the option to select multiple categories for directory types
13. Enable Request Detail Form (Switch ON/OFF) - Enable the option to show Enquire Now form on ad detail page
==> If Enabling doesn't work, Make sure you have enabled User contact form info -> On, Than Visit Dashboard >> Users > Edit user >>
Contact form -> On
==> By default Enquire Now form email will be sent to ad's organiser.
14. Enable Organizer Ads (Switch ON/OFF) - Switch off the button if don't want to show related ads on ad detail page
15. Map Marker Image (Switch ON/OFF) - Switch off the button if don't want to show map marker image on map
16. Select Map Placement in Ad Detail page - Select the option to set Map's Position on Ad detail map. You can set it to Sidebar, Content or
even can hide map from ad detail page
17. Price (Switch ON/OFF) - Switch off the button if don't want to show price option for directory type
18. Enable Price Search - Enable the option to show price search in CS: Advance filter in sidebar
19. Type icon (Switch ON/OFF) - Enable the option to have icon for your directory types
Configure settings as per your desire than save. All done!

a. Custom Fields
DirectoryListing Theme comes with a builder and you can add custom fields for each of the directory type. When user will be posting a
directory from front-end, he will have these custom options or attributes for his directory. Add a feature & you can further customize it by click
on it. Every option is self-explanatory. To set custom fields;
Step-1. Navigate to admin panel, click Directory > Directory Type. Add New or edit any existing Directory type.
Step-2. Scroll to bottom of page and you will see option of Custom fields. Add custom fields of your choice or edit existing ones.

b. Categories
Categories are sub-directories. For one directory type, there can be many categories. For example, for motors directory type, there can car, jeep,
motorcycle etc. You can select categories to add them on a directory type. To add a new category, here is procedure
Step-1. Navigate to admin panel and click on Category in left panel & click Add New.
Step-2. Add name for category, slug, description & hit Add new Category button in the bottom of page. Category is well added!
Now, to add this category on the directory Type, do the following;
Step-1. Navigate to admin panel, click Directory > Directory Type. Add New or edit any existing Directory type.
Step-2. Scroll to bottom of page and you will see option of Categories. Select categories that you want to add on Directory type.

c. Review options
Directory Box theme allows users to leave not only an overall rating but individual rating for anything you choose to set up. You can set up
different areas to be rated for different directory types. To add a new review options,
Step-1. Navigate to admin panel, click Directory type. Add New or edit any existing Directory type.
Step-2. Scroll to bottom of page and you will see Review Options. Select Review option you want to add on Directory type.

d. Feature list/ Favourites


Each user has its own favourite list where they can add items to watch later. The Favourites feature comes packed with any version of the theme
and is a very useful tool for your customers. You can add a list of features which users can add to favourites list later. Also. users in their account
area can manage and control the content of the favourite list. To add feature list on your directory type,
Step-1. Navigate to admin panel, click Directory type. Add New or edit any existing Directory type.
Step-2. Scroll to bottom of page and you will see option of Feature List. Add as many as you want.

Directory Locations

To make your directory's search real worth, you need to locations to your directory site.
Follow these simple steps to add Country, State and city;
Step-1. Navigate to admin panel and click on Dashboard > Directory > Locations.
Step-2. Add Country, State and city, than click Add New Location Button to add locations to your site. All done!
Note: Currently location's bulk import option is not available in theme!

Reports

Directory Listing theme provide exclusive feature to report and claim for the directory ads.
Report: To make a formal statement, especially of complaint, about listing is Report
Claim: A new statement of truth made about something, usually when the statement has yet to be verified.....A demand of ownership made for
something is claim.

Reviews
Directory theme provide option to see reviews by users in admin dashboard. Admin can see the reviews on ads reviewed bu users from:
Navigate to admin panel and click on Dashboard > Directory > Reviews.
Directory Settings

Packages
You can add packages fro your directory listings, TO add packages : Navigate to your theme back end or Admin Panel >> Directory >> Directory
settings >> Packages
 Unlimited - Free Package On/Off - Enable the option if you want to use unlimited free package to post ads on your directory site.
 Free Package Limit - You can specify free package for limited number of days, Set Free Package Limit in days. Remain it blank for
unlimited days.
To add new Featured package, Click Add New Package
1. Enter title
2. Enter Price
3. Specify No. of days for your paid package

Payments
Here you can see your transaction record for your payments.
Visit Dashboard >> Directory >> Directory settings >> Payments

Directory Shortcodes
Directory Box Theme comes up with wonderful shortcodes that will help you setup your site in clicks. Add shortcode & you can further
customize it by click on it.

Directory Categories
To add Directory Categories (Directory types), you can use "Directory Categories" shortcode
Step-1. Navigate to admin panel, Edit page > Click CS: Insert Short code button link above rich text Editor. Add "Directory Categories" shortcode
Step-2. To display all Directory types on frontend, You need to select all directory types from multiselect than they will show you all on
frontend. Click Insert button. All Done!
Note: There are 5 views available to display Directory types (List, Grid, Image, Gradient and Simple, You can use them as you need!)
Directory
To add Directory ads, you can use "Directory" shortcode
Step-1. Navigate to admin panel, Edit page > Click CS: Insert Short code button link above rich text Editor. Add "Directory" shortcode
Step-2. Select Directory type, Categories, No.of Fields, Filters, Sorting, Sortable etc. Click Insert button. All Done!
Note: There are 5 views available to display Directory ads (List, Grid, Grid Box, Detailed and Carousal, You can use them as you need!)

Directory Search
To add Directory Search filter, you can use "Directory Search " shortcode
Step-1. Navigate to admin panel, Edit page > Click CS: Insert Short code button link above rich text Editor. Add "Directory Search" shortcode
Step-2. Select Views, labels, Map settings, Enter Latitude and Longitude fro your desired Location, Search result filters, Search Result page
(Where your search result will be shown). Click Insert. All Done!
Note: There are 3 views available for directory search filter (View 1, View 2 and View 3, You can use them as you need!)

Members
To add Members (Users, Agents, Agencies), you can use "Members" shortcode.
Agents => Agent is used for Person or any single user
Agency => Agency is used for company, institute or any organisation.
Step-1. Navigate to admin panel, Edit page > Click CS: Insert Short code button link above rich text Editor. Add "Members" shortcode
Step-2. Select Member's View, roles, filterable, Description, Register Title and Url etc. Click Insert button. All Done!
Note: There are 3 views available to show Members i-e (List, Grid and Simple, You can use them as you need!)

Banner Ads
1. To add Ad banners on your site visit:
Dashboard > Appearance > CS Theme Options > General > Ad Unit settings > Ad Banners by using style and type as per your requirement.
By default there are 4 Banner Styles i-e (Top, Bottom, Sidebar, Vertical)
Banner types i-e (Image and code)
2. Copy Ad's Shortcode from Ads unit settings.
3. Visit Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Use CS: ADs Banner widget > Paste Shortcode All Done!
Directory Theme Options

Directory Settings refer to the Theme options available for custom settings of directory. These settings come under CS Theme options in the back
end where admin can customize directory as per his/her choice. This area offer many unique features which are described below.

General Settings

Directory Box theme comes wrapped up with uncountable options. It gives you freedom to set look & feel and functionality of your directory site
as per your needs. you can set front-end options for your users from General Settings area. Here you can control
1. User Profile Page - Select User profile page as Dashboard to enable Post an button to post an ad from front end.
2. Login Style (Select user login View.) - You can choose as Dashboard login or drop down menu
3. Ad Address Settings
Choose Address Style
Add Address Text Limit
4. Language Settings - Select Plugin Language
Note: Make sure while translating directory theme you also have to translate wp-directory plugin as well, For this add translation files in
Languages folder and translate your strings via loco translate.
 Step-1. Go to admin panel and click on Appearance > CS Theme Options.
 step-2. Click on Directory Settings > General. A window with above features open at front of you. Make settings & save them. All done!
How to enable Post and Ad Button and dashboard login?
To Enable Post An Ad button: Visit Dashboard >> Appearance >> CS Theme options >> Directory settings >> User Profile Page -> Dashboard

Post type Settings


Here you can add Directory Menu Title and slugs to change it as per your needs. i-e

If you want to change the title and slug instead of directory you can change it here.

Ads Submission
Ads Settings is area where you can control ads submissions options for front-end users. You can allow certain options while can hold others. A full
freedom for you for your directories. Just navigate the following path to avail these options;
Step-1. Go to admin panel and click on Appearance > CS Theme Options.
step-2. Click on Directory Settings > Ads Submission. A window with above features open at front of you. All options which are self-explanatory
can be set for Ads submission here. Make settings & save them. All done!

Search Settings

Directory Theme Options

Ads Submission

Search Settings

Search Settings
Another stunning feature of Directory Box theme is location based search setting. With feature, users can search the ads based on geo location.
Extended search & search results attributes can be set for this location based search option. It is very simple to set search options;
Step-1. Go to admin panel and click on Appearance > CS Theme Options.
step-2. Click on Directory Settings > Search settings. A window with Map setting area will open at front of you. Choose what you need and leave
what you do not. Make settings & save them. All done!

Reviews Settings
Reviews are important part of a business. Directory Box theme comes with extended review options. You can set reviews from Directory Type
Settings area of documentation. However, further settings like review status setting and no of reviews per page can be set from following path;
Step-1. Go to admin panel and click on Appearance > CS Theme Options.
step-2. Click on Directory Settings > Review settings. A window with review setting area will open at front of you. Make settings & save them. All
done!

Map Settings
Location of business/seller is often a handy feature for increasing ease for clients which adds to revenue. Directory Box theme comes with the
feature to make extensive map settings. You need to following following track;
Step-1. Go to admin panel and click on Appearance > CS Theme Options.
step-2. Click on Directory Settings > Map settings. A window with Map setting area will open at front of you. All fields are self-explanatory here.
Make settings & save them. All done!

Advance Search Settings


Blog

Adding New Blog Page


Adding a blog page is almost like creating a new page. The difference is just to use a blog element from page builder. To add a blog page, please
follow steps given below;
Step-1 Navigate to admin side of the theme and click on pages from left side of your admin.
Step-2 Click on Add new page or Edit any existing page. Give page title and enter description for it.
Step 3- Go to lower section of the page and find "Add Page section". Click on it and then click on the "Add Element" a pop up window will open.
Step 4- Select a Blog Element from here & then click on edit tab.
Step 5- As soon as click on it, A pop up window will open which is "Edit Blog Options"
Step 6- Set the option according to your requirement. Click on "Save" button. Publish or update the page & all done!
You can add more functionality via bottom section from General Setting, Sub Header & SEO Option buttons. Functionalities of these buttons have
been described in "Add New Blog" section of the documentation.

Blog Other Views


To set front end view for your blog post as per your desire, just follow simple and easy steps mentioned below;
Step-1 Navigate to admin side of the theme and click on pages from left side of your admin.
Step-2 Click on Add new page or Edit any existing page. Give page title and enter description for it.
Step 3- Go to lower section of the page and find "Add Page section". Click on it and then click on the "Add Element" a pop up window will open.
Step 4- Select a Blog Element from here & then click on edit tab.
Step 5- As soon as click on it, a pop up window will open which is "Edit Blog Options"
Step 6- Select the Blog design view from the drop sown as per your requirement. Click on "Save" button. Publish or update the page & all done!

Adding New Blog post


All above options can be availed while adding a New Blog. Follow the following procedure to add new Blog;
Step 1- Navigate to your theme back end or Admin Panel and go to Post Option on the left hand side & click it.
Step 2- Click on Add New post, an area will open on right side of Add new Post. It is where you can Add title, description and achieve all other
customized featured listed above in Blog page section.
Step 3- Make settings of your choice, Publish the page and your blog has been added on your site!!

Using Page Builder on Page

Follow the following steps to use page builder on page;


Step-1 Navigate admin side of theme and click on pages. Click on Add New Page or edit any existing page. Give page title and enter description
for it.
Step 2- Go to lower section of the page and find Add Page Section. Click on it and then click on the Add Element button. As soon as you click on
it, a popup window will open.
Step 3- Select an Element of your choice. After that click on edit icon (a wrench type icon). As soon as you click on it, a popup window will open
again. Here you need to select category of your element according to your needs. After that click on the save button & publish the page, that’s it.
Your element is well added with help of page builder.

Using short code on Blog page

Follow the following steps to use short code on the page;


Step 1- Click (hover) on the Pages from admin panel. Now find the option of add new page or edit any existing page.
Step 2- Give page title, and there is a button of CS: Insert Short code. It is just under the page tittle, click on it. As soon as you click on it,
a popup window will open.
Step 3- Select the element for which you want to use short code. For example if you want to use short coed for colomn, click it from the pop up
window.
Step 4- As soon as you click on it, (say coloumn short code) a popup will open again, select the fields as per your requirement to customize it.
Step 5- Click on the button Insert, your short code will be added to description field. Click on the publish button, that’s it. Your element is well
added to the page with help of short code.

Mega Menu

WordPress gives you option to create a custom menu very easily. Menu usually serves as a navigation menu for your site. The built-in WordPress
Menu feature allows you to create your own custom menus in place of your theme's default menus. To create a menu, follow the steps given
below;
Step 1- Navigate to theme admin panel and go to Appearance.
Step 2- As soon as you click the Appearance button, few option will open under it. Now find the option of Menu there.
Step 3- Click on Menu and it will take you to a new page. Click on create Menu. Give title/name in the input field there & hit the save button. All
done & Menu has been created!
Note: Here you have created the Menu. You can add Menu options by reading the topic "Adding Items to Menu" in documentation. It is just
below this line.

Adding Items

Directory Box Theme has a built-in mega menu that can be enabled in the main menu. It can have 1-4 columns, be full width, take any page and
have icons/images next to menu items. Please see below for information no how to set this up. If you need information on how to create a
regular menu, please see the appropriate section of our documentation.
Step 1- Navigate to theme admin panel and go to Appearance.
Step 2- As you click the Appearance button, few option will open under it. Find the option of "Menu" there.
Step 3- Select the Menu where you want to create a mega menu & select a page or add there a custom page as per you requirement. Click on the
button "Save changes", All done!
Following customization in Menu can be made;

Directory Menu Settings

This guide to the Menu setting covers the basic tasks a user may carry out when using the built-in menu editor of Directory Box Theme.
If you have imported dummy data, You can set location of Menu through this way;
Step 1- Navigate to theme admin panel and click Appearance. Few options will open under it. Now find the option of Menu there.
Step 2- Select a menu from the drop down. Save the Menu.
Step 3- After that click on the "Manage Locations". Click on the drop down select "Main Menu" or as you want. Now click on the button "Save
Changes". All done!
Note: If you did not imported dummy data, follow the method given under title “Menu Creation” to create Menu.

Items Limit Configuration & Solution

Server Configuration Solution


As with most problems, once you understand the issue, it’s easy to solve it. The server configuration limiting the number of POST variables that
can be submitted to the server, we need to increase that.
There are two ways this limit may be imposed

1. PHP’s max_input_vars
The increasingly common issue is the max_input_vars PHP directive. By default, it is set to 1000. To increase this, simply set it in php.ini. I’d
suggest 3000 to be safe, but 2000 should be sufficient for most sites.

How do you edit php.ini? That depends on your host. If you have access to the php.ini file, simply add or edit the directive, save, and restart
Apache. If you’re with a web host that doesn’t give you access (common with shared hosting), you may have to contact your host and have them
make the change for you.

2. Suhosin
Prior to PHP’s max_input_vars, the Suhosin PHP Security module introduced a similar pair of max_vars directives that are identical in purpose.
Not all servers run Suhosin, but those that do will need to increase the following directives in php.ini:
Again, you may need to contact your host to get them to make these changes if you don’t know how or can’t do it yourself.
Restarting Apache with the new maximum POST variable values should allow you to submit all of your menu item variables and therefore save
new menu items. Hoorah!
Keep in mind this won’t actually recover your lost menu items – that data is gone. The only way to get it back would be to restore from a backup
copy of your database.

Ste4: Here you can set the heading as you want.

Logo & Favicon

Logo Set-up
Chimp Studio Directory Box Theme requires that you upload your logo as an image file. The logo can be any size and can fill up the full content
area. You can upload your custom logo in .png .jpg .gif formats only.
You can set Logo Height/Width.
Make Logo margins from top/bottom as per your choice
Set suitable Logo margin on left/right.
Above settings are important & must be made accordingly, otherwise it will not display correctly.
You can achieve this by following path;
Step 1- Navigate to theme back-end or Dashboard and scroll to the "Appearance"
Step 2- Click on CS Theme Options and move to General Settings. Find the option of Header. It is where you can set Logo and make changes
described above.

FavIcon Set-up
FavIcon options are available in Directory Box Theme back-end. Favicons are an icon associated with a URL that is variously displayed, as in a
browser’s address bar or next to the site name in a bookmark list. DirectoryListing theme offers specific field to upload a favicon. It is quite easy.
1- Navigate to theme back-end or Dashboard and scroll to the "Appearance",
2- Click on CSTheme Options > General Settings. > Global. It is where you can upload FavIcon.

SideBar

Creating Sidebar
Chimp Studio theme allows you to easily create and apply to a page or post by selecting them in our Directory option list. It’s a great way to
customize each page with a unique sidebar. Please see the details given below to understand how you create a sidebar.
Step 1 – Navigate to Appearance > CS Theme Options > Sidebars > Create New button, give it a name and save it. You can add as many sidebars
as you need.
Note: You can delete existing sidebars from the same section.
Step 2 – Once you are done, you need to add Widgets to the sidebar you just created.
Step 3 – Navigate to Appearance > Widgets and find your sidebar on the right side
Step 4 – On the left hand side you will see all the widgets you can use, simply drag and drop the widget you want into your sidebar on the right
hand side.
Step 5 – Make sure you click Save to save the widgets added to your sidebar.
In short, you can add widget via following path;
Navigate to Admin side -> Widget -> Select a widget -> Drop this widget in your newly created custom side bar.

Sidebar for Post/Pages

All created sidebar can be assigned to any page that accepts sidebars, or for any post. Directory Box Theme, also offers dual sidebars so you can
assign a sidebar on either left or the right which ever suit your content. Please find the information given below on how to assign sidebars to
pages and posts.
Step 1 – Edit or create a new Page or Post in your WordPress Admin Panel.
Step 2 – Now Add/Edit the page/post where you want to use custom side bar.
Step 3 – Click on General Settings in the bottom of the page.
(Here you can select layout type for your sidebar too, from Right/Left or Full width)
Step 4 – Select your custom created Sidebar from the drop down.
Step 5 – When finished, publish the page or post to save the settings.
Sidebar Position
Note – Chimp Studio theme offers a sidebar position option for Sidebar, this can be chosen globally in theme options or individually per page or
post. The page option overrides the theme option. However, the theme option will control the page option as long as the page option is set to
“Default”. Default setting means it is pulling from theme options.

Sidebar for Sections


Chimp Studio themes are full of all kind of freedom to set your site as per your desires. You can adjust look & feel the way you like. Not only you
can add sidebar a full page but also you can set sidebar for a particular section of the page. For example; if you want to use sidebar for a single
element like slider, Accordion, Call to Action etc. you can do it very easily. Follow the instructions given below to achieve this functionality.
Step 1- Go to the Admin Side of the theme and Click on Edit page option. You can edit any existing page, or you can create a new page and click
on its edit section in the lower section of the page.
Step 2- Click on Add Page Sections from the lower section of the page. It will add a section on the page.
Step 3- Click on the edit icon which is at opposite to "Add Element" heading. Set layout of your choice for the sidebar from here.
Step 4- As soon as you select layout (Right/Left), you will see option below to select sidebar of your choice. Select the sidebar & publish the page.
Your selected sidebar will appear on the selected section.
Note: if you select full width option from layout, sidebar selection option will not work. It will only work on Right or Left layout.

Adding Widgets in Sidebar


Chimp Studio includes several custom widgets. All widgets are found in the Widgets section of the WordPress admin. Widgets can be added to
any sidebar. Widgets can even be added on sidebar by Dragging & dropping them on the sidebar and then selecting the sidebar for the pages or
Posts. There are various fields and settings to choose for each individual widget; all are self-explanatory. You can put as many widgets as you
want inside of a sidebar. Please read the method given below for information on how to add widgets in sidebar.
Step 1 – Navigate to Admin side > Appearance > Widgets.
Here, on the left hand side, you will find full list of all widgets that you can use in sidebars. The right hand side shows all the different sections you
can add widgets to. You will find sidebars on right side too.
Step 2 – Simply drag and drop the widget you want into the widget section you want on the right hand side.
Step 3 – When finished, make sure to click Save in the widget editing box to save the widgets recently added to your sidebar.

Default Pages sidebar


Unlike custom pages which you create yourself, there are certain pages which are theme default pages. These pages are loaded as soon as you
install the theme. Sidebar settings for these pages is little different from all those pages which you create by yourself. These pages are as follows;

To set sidebars for these pages, follow the following procedure;
Step 1- Navigate to Appearance in admin panel and go to CS Theme Option.

Step 3- Select layout type (Right/left) from here. If you select Full width layout, no sidebar selection option will be available
Step 4- Select sidebar from the drop down, Publish the page, your selected sidebar will show on all default pages.

Footer
Step-1 Navigate to theme admin panel and click on the Appearance > CS Theme Options > General. Here you can make following settings;

Step-1 Navigate to theme admin panel and click on the Appearance, option will open under it. Find CS Theme options from there.

Step-3 On this page there is option of “COLOR” Click on it, Drop down will show up.
Step-4 Click on “General color” Here You can set the theme skin color, Body background color & Body text color as per your requirement. Click
the button “Save all settings”. That's it. All done!

Adding Footer Widgets


You can add footer widgets in footer area, Please follow the steps given below:
Step-1 Navigate to theme admin panel and go to Appearance and go to widgets.
Step-3 Click on widgets and it will take you to a New Page widgets.
Step-4 Just drag & drop the widgets into the footer widget.
Step-5 Give information in the input field (which are self explanatory) of the widget, after that hit the save button.
Step-6 All done! “Footer Widgets” has been created

Typography/Fonts
Setting Font Family:
Step-1 Click on “FONT FAMILY”, new window of font family will open .
Step-2 Set the content for body text, Content attribute, Main Menu, Heading Font, & Widgets Font as per your requirement, Click the button
“Save all settings” All done!
Setting Font Size:
Step-1 Click on “FONT SIZE”, new window will open of font size.
Step-2 Set the font size for body text, Content, Main Menu, Headings Font, & Widgets Heading Font as per your requirement.
Step-3 Hit the button “Save all settings”. All done!

Slider
Creating Sliders
Chimp Studio theme comes with the most popular Revolution Slider Created By ThemePunch. This slider is a beautifully animated slider that is
100% responsive and has some amazing options. This space is limited to describe every aspect and function of it, but we have outlined how to set
up a slider and how to add slides to it. If you download our main files from Themeforest, you will get the revolution slider in it. However, you can
create your own slider from revolution slider control panel given in the theme back end. To create a new revolution slider, follow the steps
mentioned below;
To Create A New Revolution Slider, Follow The Steps Below.
Step 1 – Click on the Revolution Slider sidebar item in your admin section, then click the Create New Slider button.
Step 2 – Insert a slider name and alias. The alias text will generate a short code that can be used in the editing field of pages or posts.
Note: Short code generated in step 2 can be used on any page/post. Where ever you will paste this code, slider will show up there.
Step 3 –Then select the Source Type. If you choose Posts or Specific Posts, please refer to the Revolution Slider Docs for information on how to
set that up.
Step 4 – Then select the Slider Layout type, each type will have its own settings. You can choose from Fixed/Custom/Full screen/Auto
Responsive.
Step 5 – You can force Full width slider from the here. Click ON if you want to force Full width.
Step 6 – Once you are done, click Create Slider and your new slider will be made.
Note: After creating the slider, if you want to delete the slider, Edit Settings, Preview its Settings or Close it, all Buttons are there next to Save
Settings Button.

Adding Slides
Step 1 – Click on the Edit Slides button in the Rev Slider settings.
Step 2 – Click the New Slide or New Transparent Slide button.
Step 3 – As soon as you click, you will see a new slide box, click Edit Slide to open the slide editing section. This is where you add all your slide
content.
Step 4 – The slide editing section has many different sections that allow you to customize the slide. We cannot cover them all, but please do
check out each one.
Step 5 – To add a text layer, click on the “Add Layer” button that sits below the slider preview window. Enter your text in the Text/HTML field
that shows in the Layer General Parameter box. To style it, select one of the styles from the drop down or make your own by clicking “Edit Style”.
Step 6 – To add an image or video, click the “Add Layer: Image” or “Add Layer: Video”.
Step 7 – Below the slide preview box on the left hand side are 3 sections; Layer Parameters, Layer Animations, Layer Links & Advanced
Parameters. Select the settings you wish to have, and click Preview Slide to see a preview of what will happen.
Step 8 – On the right hand side below the slider preview box is the Layers Timing & Sorting box where you set the time it takes for each layer to
show on the screen.
Step 9 – When finished, click Update Slide to save it. Repeat process for more slides.

Sub-Header Slider
Step 1- Navigate to Appearance and go to the CS Theme Options > General settings area and Click on SUB HEADER Button. A page will open on
the right side.
Step 2- Choose sub-header from Default option. As you will click the Default, drop down will appear, you can select any Sub Header of your
choice from here.
Step 3- There are some other settings option for sub header which are self-explanatory. You can use those settings for sub header further
customization. Save Settings & All Done!
Further, following customization are possible in this area;
1. Content padding for sub slider content
2. Set Page Title as per your choice
3. Align content text
4. Turn Page title ON/OFF

Using Revolution Slider


Revolution Slider
Chimp Studio theme provides the option to use the slider anywhere you like. You can use the slider on any post or page. For example, if you want
to use the created slider on home page, follow the following path.
Step 1- Once the sliders are created, navigate to page that you have set as Home Page.
Step 2- Edit the page (which is set as Home Page) & > Navigate to the CS Page Options when is just under the CS page Builder Options.
Step 3- Go to SUB-HEADER settings on the left side. As you will click the "Choose Sub-Header" button, a drop down will appear.
Step 4- Select the option of Revolution Slider from the drop down. Choose any slider (from those you created in revolution slider) from the drop
down and update the page.
This option can only be selected if the Revolution slider is already installed on your site.

Translations
WordPress Translation
Directory Box theme is translation ready theme. The process of translating the theme is a user responsibility. Following instructions are given as
guidance and assistance;
Step- 1 Try installing the 'Loco Translate' plugin. (Can be found in 'Plugin > Add New' section)
Go to 'Tools > Manage Translations' section.
Step-2 Select our THEME or PLUGIN you want to translate to add new language
Step-3 Select the language of your WordPress installation from Dashboard > Settings > General > scroll Down to language section and select your
theme language from drop down list
Click Sync, then edit the string
Step-4 Translate the word you want and click Save button to generate .mo file.
Adding Languages to WordPress
While U.S English is the default display language for WordPress, the software has the built in capacity to be used in any language. This is achieved

To authenticate Twitter on your site, you need to generate its API. You can generate Twitter API by following method;
Step 1- Sign in to Twitter Account
Step 2- Go to apps.twitter.com

To authenticate MailChimp on your site, you need to generate its API. You can generate Mail Chimp API by following method;
Step-1. Sign in to mail Chimp Account
Step-2. Go to Mail Chimp Dash Board and Click on Account
Step-3. Click on Extra in Menu & a drop down will appear
Step-4. Click on API key
Step-5. Generate API Key

IPN Settings for PayPal


To make IPN settings for PayPal, follow the following steps given below;
Step-1 Navigate admin side of theme and click on pages.
Step-2 Click on “Add new page”. Give page title and enter description for it.
Step 3- Go to right side of the page and find the option of “Page attributes” section. Select the template from the drop down “default template”
Step-4 Click on the Publish button & Click on the View page tab.
Step-5 Copy the link from url, & then go back to the admin side & Click or Hover on Appearance few option will open under it.
Step-6 Click on the CS Theme Options, Find the option of Directory settings, click on it & go to PayPal settings.
Step-7 Here you need to paste the link PayPal IPN url.
Step-8 Paypal Sandbox ON/Off
Step-9 Enter PayPal Email
Step-10 Add Currency Sign
Step-11 Click on the Button “Save all settings” That’s it, All Done!!

How to Log in

for your authors of website on how to use Directory Box theme front-end access (you can make it public for front-end users for their ease).
First step to access this amazing option is to login. User can login from front-end via different methods.
Login with Facebook: User can simply click on this option and login with out need of creating profile or filling any form.
Login with Twitter: Just like above option, user can login with his Twitter account.
Login with Google+: Google+ profile have same option. User just need to add his google+ account information and can login.
Sign Up with custom user name: If none of the above option suits user, click sign up option in the bottom of Login window. (This option is opened
by default when user visits the login area for the first time). Enter User name and email address in the fields, a confirmation email will be sent to
given email address where you can activate the account.
How to Configure Social Logins?
Note: You need to create Facebook, Twitter and google app,after this add API key on below given path.
Navigate admin side >> Appearance >> cs theme option >> API setting >> add API detail there >> save setting .
Visit Dashboard >> Settings >> General >> Membership >> Check anyone can register
Once the sign up is done, user will have access to all amazing options given in the dashboard.

Note: Admin can make following changes for Login form from website back end;

1- Login form view can be set to Login Window or Drop Down from Appearance > CS Theme Options > Directory Settings > Login View.
2- Login Button Position can be set in Header or Top Strip from Appearance > CS Theme Options > General > Login Button Position.
3- To Enable Post An Ad button: Visit Dashboard >> Appearance >> CS Theme options >> Directory settings >> User Profile Page -> Dashboard

Create Ad and Listings


With Directory Box Theme, user can post as many adds as they want and can manage them very easily. To create an add, following steps must be
followed;
Step-1. Login to user account from site front-end and click on Post An Add. (You can also create an add from My Adds section)
Step-2. To Enable Post An Ad button: Visit Dashboard >> Appearance >> CS Theme options >> Directory settings >> User Profile Page ->
Dashboard
Step-3. Set Title & description of the Add, select directory type, fill in all attributes under the directory type and give information in boxes, select
the package, select feature add (optional), accept the terms and conditions & click on Create New Directory. Your add is created but it will be
subjected to Admin approval for its posting. Once the Admin/moderator approves the add, it will show up on site.
Note: users can manage Adds (edit, delete, renew) in My Adds section of their dashboard. See My Adds section of document for further
assistance.

My Adds
Directory Box theme has a complete user management system. My Ads section offers users to see complete record of his ads. Here user can see;
- Ads which he has posted already
- Package value, start date, status (active/expired)
- Renew the package directly with one click
- Edit the ad (for addition or deletion of content, renewal of package etc)
- Delete the ad
- See the number of favourites and likes for the ad
To access this area, just Navigate to site front-end > Login to your Account > Click My Adds.
Favourites
Favourites section of the user dashboard is the area where all favourite adds of user show up for the record. Any add marked as favourite will
directly come in this section, a kind of note book for user add record maintenance.
Adding to favourites: User can add by just clicking favourite button (sometimes a star on the add) on the add.
Removing the favourites: Just navigate to dashboard and click on favourites. Check the star for one by one removal of click Clear all favourites.

Profile Settings
Profile is information of user which is available publicly. It can create a strong impression of clients who visit adds. Directory Box theme offers full
control of profile to user with ease. You can hide your profile from public if you want to. Profile settings area offers following features;
- Upload profile Photo from your photo library up to 1MB size
- Update Avatar of your choice
- Enter detailed description of yourself in About Me section
- Enter CONTACT DETAILS where users/Buyers can contact seller. You can Show/Hide Contact details in profile settings area as well.
- Give Social Media contact information for extended interaction
- Change/Update your PASSWORD
- Enter your PAYPAL information (email address)
To access this area, just Navigate to site front-end > Login to your Account > Click Profile Settings.

Payments
Payment section of dashboard maintains record of payment made by the user against his adds. In this section, user can see the package detail &
price, duration of the purchase and date of payment. To access this area, Navigate to site front-end > Login to your Account > Click Payments.

User Reviews
Users reviews are necessary part of online business. Directory Box theme come pre-wrapped with this option. User can add review to the adds.
How to add Review:
A user can review any add except his own add/s. Just open the add, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Leave Us a Review, add rating
and all done!
Note: User must be logged to add a review.
How to see the Review:
Author of the add can see the reviews given by the users in his dashboard. Just login into dashboard & click on Reviews. All reviews given by
the users can be seen here.
NOTE: Only Super Admin of the site has the authority to show/hide reviews of his choice. on secondary user/admin, all added reviews will show up
without any difference.
