Monitor cooling temperatures on a KMS 930E. To enable this option
an updated FB160 card and the additional hydraulic sensors
must first be installed.

En el directorio raíz mover el cursor a SPECIAL TASK, EVENT MENU, TCI O PSC
EVENT SUMMARY Y dar doble click con el botón izquierdo del mouse. El laptop

El sistema de control de los camiones AC tienen incorporado dos conjunto de paneles electrónicos
computarizados, en donde las CPU’s de ambos paneles se encuentran permanentemente
comunicadas entre sí, para establecer los parámetros de funcionamiento tanto de los comandos
del operador como de los componentes de propulsión y retardo dinámico.
El panel PSC tiene además incorporado 2 CPU’s correspondiente a cada uno de los inversores de
potencia, los cuales tiene como función principal el mantener el control de alimentación sobre
cada uno de los motores AC ubicados en las ruedas traseras.
El personal de mantenimiento podrá establecer comunicación con ambos paneles mediante el uso
de un computador portátil o laptop (PTU), utilizando para ello el acceso por la puerta serial de
comunicación ubicada en la cabina del operador a través de un cable serial R232. Cada panel
tiene un conector individual localizado en la parte posterior de la consola central de la cabina del
operador. El conector izquierdo (lado asiento operador) es para el panel PSC y el conector
derecho (lado asiento pasajero) es para el panel TCI.
Una vez instalado el software versión 19.03 en el laptop, el acceso al programa es con doble click
en el icono identificado PTU AC 21.00
Para acceder al programa del sistema AC, versión 21.00, conectado al camión se debe proceder
como sigue: Con el switch de arranque en posición ON y el cable serial conectado en alguno de
los conectores de la cabina del operador (PSC o TCI) encender el computador y a través del icono
respectivo del programa AC ingresar al menú principal.
Una vez ingresado el password correspondiente, mover el cursor y hacer click en wPTU
TOOLBAR. Un Nuevo cuadro será mostrado en pantalla donde se debe seleccionar el tipo
configuración del camión que se esta trabajando. En el caso de los camiones 930E de
Chuquicamata y Radomiro Tomic es GE320AC-KG498-2700HP. Click OK
El laptop mostrara entonces un directorio raíz o menú principal en el lado izquierdo de la pantalla
tanto para el PSC como para el TCI según la puerta serial a la cual esta conectado el cable..
Mover el cursor y seleccionar el programa a mostrar.
Con el cursor hacer click en PSC-Real Time Data. El laptop mostrara entonces la pantalla en
tiempo real del PSC con datos análogos y digitales.
b) Estado y condición del equipo: Parte central superior indica condición en que se encuentra
el camión, PSCMODE (propulsión, retardo, coast,etc.), PSCLINK indica el voltaje de la
barra LINK, % de pedal de aceleración (valor es de 0a 1), % del pedal de retardo (valor varia
de 0 a 1), selector de marcha (FW, Neutro o Reverse) y COM_LINK indica el estado de
comunicación entre PSC y TCI
c) Cuadro de velocidades: Cuadro superior derecho en donde se puede ver las velocidades del
camión Truck Speed en MPH, RPM de las ruedas frontales (lfrpm y rrpm), RPM de las
ruedas traseras (MIRPM, M2RPM) y el ajuste de velocidad del potenciómetro de retardo
manual (5 a 39 MPH)
d) Digital Input (DI) : Señales digitales (on/off) de algunos comando externos que han sido
recepcionados por el panel PSC
e) Digital Output (DO): Comandos digitales que están siendo enviadas por el panel PSC hacia
algún componente externo EJ: El comando de cierre de algún contactor, la alimentación a los
inversores o encender alguna alarma en el panel de alarmas (AID o en el panel de switches
ubicado en el sector izquierdo del gabinete eléctrico).
f) From TCI: Información digital recibida desde el panel TCI. Si aparece un cuadro oscuro
alrededor de la señal significa que fue activado por el TCI.
g) To TCI: Señales digitales de comando enviadas por el panel PSC hacia el TCI con algún tipo
de restricción.
Nota: Para una mejor identificación de las señales digitales entre PSC y TCI se establece como
código que: Desde PSC a TCI letras mayúsculas y desde TCI a PSC con letras minúsculas.
h) Inversores (IV): información de condición de cada uno de los inversores de potencia, tales
como Torque requerido (TRQCMD) y Torque real (TRQFB), voltaje del link de cada
inversor(I1LV/I2LV), Mode que indica el estado y/o algún tipo de restricción en los
inversores.
Nota: Colocando el cursor sobre el valor de cada variable el laptop mostrara una breve
descripción de su significado.
Si se requiere ver datos en tiempo real relacionados con el estado del camión y elementos
digitales activados mover el cursor a SERIAL LINK DATA y hacer doble click. La pantalla
mostrada se encuentra en la figura xx
En esta pantalla se muestra una combinación de datos digitales de entrada y salida. Nuevamente
se reitera que los campos indicados con mayúsculas son señales digitales desde el PSC hacia el
TCI y los campos indicados con minúsculas son señales digitales desde el TCI hacia el PSC.
En el menú principal colocar el cursor en PSC ANALOG INPUT y hacer doble click. Se mostrara
ahora una pantalla de datos análogos.
En esta pantalla se puede ver datos análogos en tiempo real (variables en el tiempo) de mayor
relevancia tales Corrientes y Voltajes del campo del alternador y los voltajes y corrientes de la
barra LINK, señales de los pedales de retardo y Lever (voltaje varía entre 0 y 10 V) las fuentes
de poder de 24 V, 15 V (positivo y negativo), 5 V y corriente de ambas blower sopladores del
banco de resistencia de retardo ( la diferencia mayor de 50 Amp genera un código de falla).
Colocar el cursor ahora en PSC-TEMPERATURES y hacer doble click. Se mostrara una pantalla
con los distintos valores de temperatura del sistema eléctrico.
En esta pantalla se observa un total de 15 diferentes temperaturas que son controladas por el
sistema PSC. La mayoría de ellas son calculadas por la CPU utilizando algoritmos basados en
corrientes. Una excepción es la temperatura ambiente la cual esta siendo medida por un sensor
ubicado en el ducto de aire del alternador.
En el extremo superior de la pantalla se observa el porcentaje de temperatura total del sistema
eléctrico en un valor de 0 a 100%. También se observa un indicador del numero que identifica el
dispositivo que ha alcanzado la más alta temperatura.
Colocar el cursor en INVERTER INFO y hacer doble click. En la pantalla se mostrara un cuadro
con todos los datos en tiempo real relacionados con los inversores. El cuadro superior muestra el
feedback desde los inversores y el cuadro inferior muestra la información de comando desde el
panel PSC hacia los inversores.
Como ya fuera indicado, todas las pantallas relacionadas con REAL TIME DATA corresponden a
información en tiempo real. Todas ellas pueden ser abiertas al mismo tiempo y también se puede
mostrar en primer plana la que sea requerida haciendo click en el cuadro correspondiente de cada
una de ellas.
Para eliminar una pantalla abierta mover el cursor al cuadro X de la misma pantalla en la
esquina superior derecha y hacer click.
Para ver los estados lógicos del camión en tiempo real mover el cursor a READY MODE
y hacer click. Se mostrara una pantalla con una secuencia lógica del sistema eléctrico del
camión en condiciones de Listo o Ready.
En el menú principal mover el cursor a RETARD MODE y hacer click. Se mostrara una
pantalla con la secuencia lógica de Retardo.
Todas estas pantallas pueden ser desplegadas simultáneamente, como también ser
congeladas y grabadas en disco duro usando el procedimiento descrito anteriormente.
Para realizar la prueba verificar que el link esta energizado, valor en ralentí de 700 V. Verificar
que el blower auxiliar esta trabajando a 1700 RPM. Ante esta condición con selectora de marcha
en NEUTRO, mover el cursor a ENTER LDBX y hacer click. El cuadro señalado con
LOADBOX CONTROL se iluminara indicando que el sistema esta en caja de carga..
Esperar el tiempo suficiente para que el blower auxiliar alcance 3600 RPM. Acelerar el mover
diesel progresivamente hasta alcanzar el recorrido total. Los contactores RP1,RP2 y RP3 se
iluminaran indicando el ingreso de las resistencias de retardo como carga. Una vez el sistema
estabilizado, leer los valores de HP ALT, ENGSPD, ENGLOAD.
En caso de ser necesario una prueba manual de caja de carga, utilizar el mismo procedimiento
anterior, pero, se debe mover el cursor a HP OFFSET y hacer click .Esto habilita el sistema para
variar carga eléctrica en forma positiva o negativa. Mover el cursor a = 0 HP y cambiar el valor
antes de realizar la prueba. El valor también puede ser cambiado durante la prueba.
Una vez terminada la prueba de caja de carga, mover el cursor a EXIT LDBX y hacer click.
Luego mover el cursor a la X ubicada en el extremo superior derecho y hacer click para salir al
menú de NORMAL OPERATION.
La prueba de caja de carga también se puede realizar usando el panel de alarmas DID ubicado en
la cabina del operador, detrás del asiento del pasajero. Para esto se requiere las mismas
condiciones señaladas anteriormente, es decir, LINK energizado, blower auxiliar en
funcionamiento, selectora de marcha en neutro, etc.
PREPARACIÓN PARA CAJA DE CARGA USANDO PANEL DID. En el panel DID
presionar la tecla correspondiente a MENU. La pantalla muestra varias alternativas, elegir F1 que
es la correspondiente a CAJA DE CARGA o LOAD TEST; luego cuando el sistema indica que
la CAJA DE CARGA LISTO; presionar el pedal de aceleración hasta alcanzar el máximo. El
panel DID mostrara los valores principales, es decir, HP neto, RPM del diesel, y el valor del
control de carga en Volts.
También se puede realizar con el panel DID ajuste de carga manual. Para ello se debe habilitar el
control manual con la tecla ON y luego con la tecla F3 y F4 se agrega o quita 25 HP cada vez
que esta es pulsada.
Para finalizar soltar el pedal de aceleración, esperar a que las rpm del blower auxiliar bajen a
1700 rpm y luego pulsar la tecla del panel DID salir de caja de carga. Ahora presionar en el panel
DID volver a menú para regresar a la condición normal de operación.
Esta misma prueba puede ser realizada manualmente a través del panel DID, ubicado en la parte
posterior del asiento del acompañante en la cabina del operador. Para ello se requiere presionar la
tecla bajo MENU y luego CAP TEST. Esto debe ser con motor diesel corriendo y LINK
energizado en ralentí (baja RPM).
1.4. Configuración
En el menú principal mover el cursor y hacer click en a PSC ANALOG OUTPUT . En esta
pantalla podemos establecer los parámetros de medida que pueden ser leídos directamente en la
pantalla, en tiempo real, y/o grabar en un Registrador de varios canales a través del conector
ubicado en el panel de switches en la cabina eléctrica.
Mover el cursor y hacer click en CUSTOM PARAMETERS. Se mostrara una pantalla donde se
puede seleccionar algunos parámetros para ser analizados individualmente. El sistema registrara
estas lecturas y se podrá leer en el sector izquierdo de la pantalla sus valores y su
comportamiento.
Mover el cursor y hacer click en PSC SW VERSION. Se mostrara en pantalla un cuadro con la
información relacionada con el tipo de versión instalada en el PSC e INVERSORES.
INFORMACION DE EVENTOS
2. Event Trigger Data: En el menú EVENTS MENU, al mover el cursor y hacer click en
EVENT TRIGGER DATA, el sistema mostrara cada uno de los eventos registrados en
EVENT LIST en un pantalla de tiempo real con la información registrada al momento de
ocurrir el evento. Esta pantalla muestra una sola ventana o frame en tiempo real. Con las
teclas F3 y F4 podemos obtener otras pantallas relacionadas con el evento en análisis. El
evento puede ser grabado en disco duro y/o disco flexible siguiendo las instrucciones
indicadas para grabar pantallas.
3. Event Data Pack: En el menu EVENT MENU mover el cursor y hacer click en PSC DATA
PACK . El sistema mostrara una pantalla con una lista de eventos con un máximo de 30. Esta
lista representa los 30 últimos eventos de mayor relevancia.
Para ver detalles del evento, con el cursor en SELECT DATA PACK TO VIEW se debe
seleccionar el No. Del evento a desplegar indicado en la lista de 1 al 30, digitar el No.
correspondiente para desplegar una pantalla en tiempo real con sus respectivos pantallas
asociadas de datos análogos, datos digitales y temperaturas por un total de 100 ventanas o frames.
Cada frame o ventana muestra la información registrada para este evento en particular a través del
tiempo.
Esto es, existen 90 ventanas con la información del sistema antes de ocurrir el evento y 10
ventanas después de ocurrir el evento. El tiempo entre ventanas es entre 0.03 y 0.07 seg.
Erase Events: Al mover el cursor a ERASE EVENT DATA y dar enter, el sistema pregunta si
se desea borrar los eventos. Haciendo click en YES automáticamente borrará toda la lista de
eventos almacenados en el PSC EVENT SUMMARY. Una vez realizado, los eventos NO
podrán ser recuperados. Esto no afecta a la lista de eventos almacenados en el EVENT
DATA PACK, los cuales son automáticamente reemplazados cuando la lista de 30 eventos
es completa borrando el más antiguo de ellos al registrar uno nuevo.
5. Erase Datapack: Al mover ahora el cursor y hacer click en ERASE DATAPACK, el sistema
pregunta si se desea borrar los eventos guardados. Haciendo click en YES, cuando se quite la
alimentación de 24 volts al panel PSC se borrará todos los eventos guardados en el
DATAPACK.
PSC & Inverter Event codes: Con el cursor en EVENT & INVERTER EVENT LIST se
puede desplegar la lista de eventos (códigos) relacionados con el PSC, TCI y los Inversores.
Mover el cursor para seleccionar la lista de eventos a desplegar;PSC EVENT LIST, TCI EVENT
LIST o INVERTER EVENT LIST . Con un click en la lista seccionada se mostrara una pantalla
con una lista de los eventos y una breve descripción a que corresponde
En el menú principal de SPECIAL TASK, mover el cursor y hacer click en SET TIME AND
DATE. El laptop muestra una pantalla en donde se puede ajustar la fecha y hora de la CPU del
panel PSC. Mover el cursor a cada uno de los campos indicados en la pantalla para realizar los
cambios respectivos, luego mover el cursor y hacer click en SET CLOCK . Automáticamente será
cambiada la fecha y hora en la tarjeta CPU.
Una pantalla similar a la de tiempo real será mostrada. Mover el cursor al cuadro DO (Digital
Output). Los componentes y alarmas indicados en este cuadro pueden ser activados físicamente
con el laptop colocando el cursor y hacer click en la ubicación del componente que se desea
activar. Alrededor del componente activado aparecerá un marco de color oscuro, siendo una
indicación que el comando fue ejecutado. Confirmar su operación físicamente en el componente y
observar que también en el cuadro superior DI (Digital Input) aparece un cuadro oscuro alrededor
del componente activado, el cual representa el feedback. Para desactivar hacer otro click y
confirmar que el cuadro oscuro ha desaparecido del componente en test y su feedback.
Data Store
En la barra superior de la pantalla del PSC se puede ver un cuadro con las letras DS. Este es un
comando para hacer un Data Store durante la operación normal de camión. Con un click en este
comando se guardara automáticamente un evento con el No 98, el cual tiene 100 frames o
ventanas.
