1. ¿QUÉ SIGNIFICA ASUNCIÓN DE LA VIRGEN
A LOS CIELOS?
«Todas las generaciones me llamarán bienaventurada porque el Señor ha
hecho obras grandes en mí» (Lc 1, 48-49).

La V irgen fue Asunta al cielo: significa que la Virgen fue llevada al

cielo, por ser la Madre del Hijo de Dios.

«La Santísima V irgen María, cumplido el curso de su vida terrena, fue

llevada en cuerpo y alma a la gloria del cielo, en donde ella participa ya
en la gloria de la resurrección de su Hijo, anticipando la resurrección
de todos los miembros de su Cuerpo»

 2.¿Porqué tanto Privilegio?

Por ser la Madre de Dios, es la raíz de todas las

perfecciones y privilegios que la adornan. Por ese título,
fue:
concebida inmaculada y está llena de gracia,
es siempre virgen,
subió en cuerpo y alma a los cielos,
ha sido coronada como Reina de la creación entera, por
encima de los ángeles y de los santos. Más que Ella, sólo
Dios.
La Santísima Virgen, por ser Madre de Dios, posee una
dignidad en cierto modo infinita, del bien infinito que es
Dios. No hay peligro de exagerar. Nunca profundizaremos
bastante en este misterio inefable; nunca podremos
agradecer suficientemente a Nuestra Madre esta
familiaridad que nos ha dado con la Trinidad Beatísima.

 ¿Quésignifica un Dogma?

por el Papa Pío XII
Desde 1849 empezaron a llegar a la
Santa Sede diversas peticiones para
que la Asunción de la Virgen sea
declarada dogma de fe. Fue el Papa Pío
XII que, el 1 de noviembre de 1950,
publica la Constitución Apostólica
Munificentissimus Deus que proclama
el dogma con estas palabras:
