contables y NO contables

• Uncountable= NO contable
• Nouns = sustantivo/nombre
• Un sustantivo puede ser un lugar, una cosa, una persona, un
alimento etc.

Como en esta oportunidad hablaremos de alimentos,

conoceremos los alimentos contables y no contables
 Countable nouns

• Son aquellos nombres/sustantivos (en

este caso alimentos) que se pueden
contar individualmente.
 Countable nouns
• There are three apples in the
refrigerator.
• There are five cats in our house.
• She has 6 friends at work.
• There are two computers at home.
• There are 3 carrots only.
 Countable nouns (singular & plural form)
• Los sustantivos contables tienen tanto una forma singular como plural. Mira
la siguiente tabla:

Uncountable nouns
• Son aquellos sustantivos (en este caso alimentos) que NO se
pueden contar individualmente.
• Los sustantivos son normalmente incontables si se refieren a
sustancias líquidas, materias primas.
Uncountable nouns
• We have some milk
• I don’t have any sugar.
• There is a little of orange juice
Uncountable nouns (ONLY singular)

• Los sustantivos no contables NO tienen una forma plural,

SOLO SINGULAR.

 Uncountable nouns
• Los uncountable nouns son aquellos elementos que no podemos
contar usando números pero sí utilizando cuantificadores o
partitivos (contenedores).
