También construyeron baños públicos en distintas zonas y los transportaban los desechos
humanos en canoas para usarlos como fertilizantes. Además de que llegaban a bañarse hasta 3
veces al día.
Usaban un sistema de tributo, cuando conquistaron todas las ciudades que se encontraban
alrededor de Tenochtitlán, y demandaban personas para ser sacrificadas publica y cruelmente
con la finalidad de honrar a los dioses. Era considerada una civilización que no mostraba
piedad con sus enemigos.
Religión
Eran politeístas, adoraban a varios dioses que gobernaban ciertas actividades como la
agricultura, la guerra, el sol y la luna. Su forma de honrarlos era a través de sacrificios
humanos, pues consideraban que esta era la única forma de calmar su ira cuando se enojaban.
El emperador era el líder de la ciudad suprema de Tenochtitlán, se creía que este tenía
contacto con los Dioses y este a su vez era su representación en la tierra, además el pueblo
estaba sometido a su voluntad.
Alimentación y Agricultura
Consumía alimentos como tortillas de maíz, alubias, calabaza, tomates, papas y un tipo de
queso hecho con algas, bebían chocolate y de vez en cuando comían carne y pescado.
Ejercito
Los soldados aztecas trabajaban sin salario y aquel que capturara a cuatro o más enemigos
eran promovidos a nobles. Uno de los datos curiosos de los Aztecas era que sí estos perdían la
vida en combate se creía que iban a un paraíso especial cerca del sol. Cabe destacar que las
mujeres y niños que eran capturados como prisioneros de guerra eran llevados a la ciudad
para ser sacrificados públicamente.
