Tomas Edison, nació el 11 febrero 1847 en 1000, una ciudad afectada por

instaló su primer laboratorio vendió periódicos para sustentarse y aprendió a telegrafiar. A los 21 años registra su primera patente, era un contador eléctrico de votos que ofreció al Congreso. Luego inventa una impresora efectiva para la compañía telefónica WESTER UNION, por $40,000. En 1874 se casa con Mary Stilwell con quien tuvo tres hijos y se fue a vivir a Nueva York en ese lugar perfeccionó el invento del fonógrafo. Luego se interesó por el sistema de alumbrado eléctrico, particularmente por la lámpara incandescente y en 1879 exhibió públicamente el foco eléctrico incandescente después de haber intentado 1000 veces este invento. Posteriormente tuvo otros inventos como: el Kinetoscopio, el acumulador de Edison (batería de hierro -niquel cierra), el microtaxímetro y otros inventos más. Tomás Edison falleció en Nueva Jersey si el 18 octubre 1931. Lo admiramos por dos razones: El primero porque fue una muestra de perseverancia y nos enseñó a no rendirse antes de tiempo. La segunda porque sus inventos fueron trascendentales para el mundo y nos mostró a través de aquellos inventos que: “una experiencia nunca es un fracaso, pues viene a demostrar algo”.
