Sin embargo, Rafael Mendoza que La Llovizna reabriera sus puertas al público
logró en el año 1996, después de luchas y un largo proceso penal.
Desde ese entonces el Parque La Llovizna, ha sido un espacio natural en el que
nativos y visitantes no dejan de extasiarse. Esta creación de Dios, levemente
alterada por el hombre, es sinónimo de la historia, auge y desarrollo de la
Ciudad Guayana de hoy en día.
THE LLOVIZNA PARK
A LITTLE FOREST INSIDE THE METROPOLIS
It was designed in the 60s by Rafael Mendoza Olavarria while participating in the
project that just started in the region: the construction of Macagua I Hydroelectric
Complex. It is located in Puerto Ordaz, Bolivar State. It is a park that features the
vital liquid water Caroni River. It is part of a system of natural parks along the
Caroni River , which include Loefling , Cachamay and Punta Vista.
Among the facilities and services that we can enjoy you are:
- Numerous roads of stones that were raised by hand, with stones resulting from
blasting Macagua .
- Malocas
- Nature trails (wich means senderos naturales)
- Wooded areas (that means Areas boscosas)
- Grass fields (areas de grama)
-Water falls : This beautiful place has one of the most colorful water drops in the
basin of the Caroni River
- Bridges ,
- Soda fountain,
- Health ,
- Parking lots,
- Stone Theatre : Amidst the huge open space the geometric shape of the stone
theater is highlighted. This work designed by the architects Ester Añez , Lisette
Delgado and Jose Torcat , slides his cement steps with gently sloping terrain to
the stage ; environment conducive to the highest human expressions in dance
and music performance.
- The drizzle jump : During the tour you can see several waterfalls , including the
jump drizzle which has about twenty meters high , allowing the formation of a
swirl of water creating falling feeling rain, what he gave the name to this park.
-The Llovizna Park has several lakes , one of which is the lagoon of El Danto
where it has several boats (kayak , canoe and pedal boat) which are rented and
can take a walk along the lagoon and they also allows the people to feed the
fishes ( there selling food) .
However, Rafael Mendoza try his best to make the Llovizna reopening and he
got it in 1996 after many struggles and a large criminal proceedings
Since the reopening, The Llovizna Park has been a natural space where the
natives of Guayana and visitors doesn’t stop to enjoy. This creation of God,
slightly modificate by man, is synonymous of the history and improve of Guayana
City now a day.
