PRESENTACIÓN DEL ÁREA
Las Ciencias Sociales desde su origen y evolución hasta nuestros tiempos se constituyen en
un área de aprendizaje fundamental en la formación escolar puesto que allí reposan los
conocimientos sociales que permiten a los niños y jóvenes el desarrollo de habilidades y
destrezas para el afianzamiento de su identidad, el amor a sus raíces y antepasados, el
conocimiento de su mundo y sus recursos, el reconocimiento de sus instituciones, la
participación en la sociedad, el análisis de las diferentes formas de percibir la realidad y
todas aquellas complejidades propias de la cotidianidad de los diferentes grupos humanos,
todas las temáticas, las actividades, y demás procesos cognoscitivos abordados en el
presente modulo nos conducen a establecer a través de la enseñanza de las Ciencias
Sociales un dialogo de culturas, que implica primero el reconocimiento y aceptación de lo
propio y luego el reconocimiento de otras culturas.
METODOLOGÍA
Los módulos diseñados para el área de Ciencias Sociales son enfocados hacia la
metodología de talleres y guías de trabajo por lo que se constituyen en una especie de
cuadernos de trabajo en los que el estudiante desarrollara los diferentes procesos de
aprendizaje interactuando con diferentes fuentes y medios como son: textos escolares de
diferentes autores, bibliobanco, internet, textos especializados, por lo que se da especial
relevancia al estudio de casos, la observación directa, la entrevista, la reconstrucción de
saberes entre otras.

“Ante la crisis de identidad sufrida por las poblaciones islámicas frente a la
invasión de la cultura occidental, los líderes de los movimientos religiosos
proclaman el islam como una vía de prosperidad, y a su vez postulan los
preceptos religiosos contenidos en el Corán como la solución a todos los males de
las sociedades. Es por ello que llevan a cabo una expansión de la Jihád a nivel
mundial. Si bien dicho motivo no justifica al fundamentalismo islámico y sus
modalidades de acción se convierte en un elemento clave a tener en cuenta, por
cuanto deja en claro que para lograr una adecuada comprensión de divo
fenómeno no deben tomarse, como parámetro para su análisis, los valores

islámica y solo la parte reaccionaria de la misma es principalmente

América Latina era ya un mundo sólido cuando los españoles llegaron y luego trajeron, en
forma violenta, la población negra procedente de África; así los nativos, unidos a los

SITUACION PROBLEMA
Hace muchos años, a un territorio en las orillas del mar, llegaron diferentes
familias de distintas regiones que encontraron allí una oportunidad para
establecerse, después de haber tenido que irse de sus tierras de origen por
diferentes motivos.
Después de varios años, este territorio estuvo habitado por personas que, en
general, eran muy distintas. Existían personas con diferentes rasgos físicos, con
distintas creencias y tradiciones culturales, es decir, tenían una serie de factores
que los diferenciaban entre sí.
Fue imposible la convivencia de los grupos reunidos en aquel lugar, porque cada
uno se sentía más importante y con mayores derechos que los demás.
