ACTIVIDADES COMPLEMENTARIAS:

Possibly one of the best-known celebrations of love – Valentine’s Day, on


14th February – is now popular around the world. The exact roots of the
festival are unknown, although there are various stories and legends about
St. Valentine, and even several Valentines who might have inspired the
holiday. In one popular story we are told that Valentine was a Roman priest.
The emperor Claudius II had ordered the local priests not to marry young
couples as he believed that unmarried soldiers were better fighters.
However, Valentine refused to obey and carried on with what he felt was his
duty. Sadly, he was killed as a result of his defiance. Nearly 2,000 years later people still remember his name
and celebrate St. Valentine’s Day, typically with cards, flowers and chocolates.
Now, that you know a little bit of Valentine’s day, you are going to make an art and crafts project using recycled
materials, it can be a heart, a cupid, a card, a box for a present, whatever you want but you want, look the
following examples.
