1. Look at the picture, then analyze present simple in affirmative form in English
(Observe la imagen, luego analice la forma afirmativa del presente simple en inglés)

2. Analyze and answer the following question. (Analice y responda las siguientes pregunta)

• Do you think that is important learn the grammatical use of simple present simple in affirmative form?
(¿Creé usted que es importante aprender el uso gramatical de la forma afirmativa del presente simple?)

• Sabias que el “presente simple” es un tiempo verbal del presente que se utiliza para hablar acerca
de hechos o verdades generales que constituyen hábitos, horarios o programas, costumbres y
rutinas de la vida cotidiana.

 4. Grammar.
Present Simple in affirmative form. (La forma afirmativa del presente simple)
Utilizamos el presente simple para cosas que generalmente son verdaderas o situaciones que pasan de
manera habitual. Por ejemplo:
I go to the gym on Friday (Yo voy al gimnasio los viernes)
The restaurant opens at 9:00 p.m. in the morning. (El restaurante abre a las 9:00 p.m. en la mañana)
Reglas para conjugar los verbos en la forma afirmativa del presente simple

Como pudo usted observar en el cuadro, la conjugación de los verbos en la forma afirmativa del presente simple, se
mantiene igual en los pronombres I, You, We, y They. Sin embargo, los verbos cambian en la tercera persona del
singular, es decir con: He, She y It. Veamos las reglas para conjugar los verbos en la tercera persona.

• Para la tercera persona del singular, añadimos -s al final del verbo. For example:

Work works
Like likes
Cook cooks

• Los verbos con los sufijos: -ch, -s, -sh, -x, -z; añadimos -es. For example:

Watch watches
Kiss kisses
Crush crushes
Tax taxes
Buzz buzzes

• Los verbos que terminan con una consonante seguido por -y: se cambia la -y, por la -i, luego
añadimos -es. For example:

cry cries
Study studies

• Existen verbos irregulares que no siguen las reglas anteriores, son los siguientes:

go goes
have has

Subject (sujeto) + verb in present (verbo en presente) + complement (complemento)
