“Welcome again Mati to our home”

Esta semana comenzó feliz, porque Matías volvió al hogar y

resulta muy agradable tenerlo con nosotros. Su forma de ser
nos gusta a todos, quitado de bulla, excelente disposición y
siempre atento a ser uno más de nosotros. Nuestro Mati no
es solo un Vásquez más, sino que es muy querido por todos
nosotros. Es por eso que todos, en patota, salimos a buscarlo
al aeropuerto de Dulles el sábado por la noche.

This week began happy, because Matías returned home and

it is very nice to have him with us. The way of being of him

always attentive to being one of us. Our Mati is not only a
Vásquez more, but he is very dear to all of us. That's why we
all went out to pick him up in the Dulles airport on Saturday
night.

Con la llegada de nuestra Lopito y de nuestro Matías la
familia está completa. ambos llegaron con el firme propósito
de aprender inglés y poder aprovechar cada momento, para
irse lo más bilingües que puedan.

English and being able to take advantage of every moment,
to leave as bilingual as possible.

Obviamente, no todo va a ser trabajo y

estudio, también podemos disfrutar de
ricos almuerzos, de una rica once y sobre
todo, de los super especiales “Social
Fridays” donde conversamos sobre lo
que ha sido nuestra semana y los planes
para el fin de semana y la semana
entrante.

delicious lunches, a delicious tea time

Para nosotros, todas las personas con las que
compartimos son siempre un aporte en todos los
sentidos; la Lopito y el Mati lo han sido con creces. La
chica se ha propuesto incluir a los chicos en el hábito de
hacer deporte, cosa que me parece genial.
For us, all the people we share with are always a
contribution in every way; Lopito and Mati have been
more than enough. The girl has proposed to include
the kids in the habit of doing sports, which I think is
great.
 Lo mismo ha ocurrido con Matías, cocina
maravillosamente y es súper creativo. Nos hizo
galletas y sopaipillas un día que llovió. Además de ser
un gran chef, se maneja muy bien en el área de los autos
y la mecánica. Javier ha encontrado en él un buen socio,
se ríen, tontean y lo pasan bien.

The same has happened with Matías, he cooks

wonderfully and is super creative. He made us cookies
and sopaipillas a day when it rained. Besides being a
great chef, he handles cars and mechanics very well.
Javier has found in him a good partner, they laugh, fool
around and have a good time.

Me gusta mucho regalonearlos todos los días, les preparo

desayuno y se los llevo a la cama, los veo salir a trotar, cumplen
con su rol de cosas de casa, salen con el Balton, comparten y
siento que esperan con ansias el fin de semana para salir,
conocer y compartir como una gran familia.

I really like to treat them every day, I make them breakfast and
take them to bed, I watch them going for jogging, they fulfill
their role of housework, they go out with Balton, they share
and I feel like they are looking forward to the weekend to go
out, meet and share as a big family.

En nuestros paseos siempre hay cosas que nos llaman la

atención por ejemplo este hermoso modelito que dejó a
los chicos con la boca abierta.

On our walks there are always things that catch our

attention, for example, this beautiful little model that left
the boys with their mouths open.

Nuestra Gracie nos ha acompañado

todo este tiempo y creímos que había
que ponerla bella, así que las chicas se
aplicaron y la dejaron hermosa.

Our Gracie has been with us all this

time and we thought we had to make
her beautiful, so the girls applied
themselves and left her beautiful.
Siempre en nuestros paseos, como les dije, de todos, el que
más disfruta es el Balton, que no solo se ha hecho famoso,
sino que ahora le ha dado por hacerse de nuevos amigos,
todos dicen que es un perro especial. Nosotros le explicamos
que no debería ser tan sociable, por el coronavirus, Pero él
parece que no quiere hacer caso.

Always on our walks, as I told you, all of them, the one it

enjoys the most is Balton, who has not only become famous,
but has now taken to making new friends, everyone says that
he is a special dog. We explained to him that he should not be
so sociable, because of the coronavirus, but he does not seem
to want to pay attention.

Para nosotros, esta experiencia ha sido bella, difícil,

especial y también dura en el aspecto afectivo, es por
eso que queremos compartir esta bendición con la
gente. Nuestro hogar, aquí y en Chile, siempre está
abierto para quien lo necesite. Aprender, conocer,
viajar y llevar lo mejor de esta vivencia de un año ha
sido y será nuestro propósito como familia.

For us, this experience has been beautiful, difficult,

special and also hard emotionally, that is why we
want to share this blessing with people. Our home,
here and in Chile, is always open to anyone who
needs it. Learning, knowing, traveling and bringing
the best of this one-year experience has been and
will be our purpose as a family.

Nuestra vida hasta septiembre está aquí, estamos
agradecidos con los meses que nos quedan por
delante. Nuestro corazón está en Chile, con
nuestras familias, seres queridos, amigos y todos quienes
nos esperan y rezan por nuestro bienestar. Ojalá esta
pandemia termine pronto, nos ha quitado gente querida,
bellos momentos y hemos vivido experiencias que nos
marcarán de por vida.

Our life until September is here, we are grateful

with our families, loved ones, friends and all those
who wait for us and pray for our well-being.
