 Introducción

Buenos días compañeros de clase, buenos dias profesora.

A continuación voy a proceder con mi exposición acerca del libro “En las Hiervas altas” escrita
por “Sthepen King”

Como una breve introducción a la trama del libro Esto sucede cuando dos hermanos se
embarcan en un viaje hacia San Diego, ellos deciden no ir por la carretera que se paga peaje si
no por otro lado para hacer visitas turísticas en el camino deciden descansar a lado de unas
hiervas altas, al apagar la radio y bajar las ventanas y respirar aire puro escuchan una voz
proveniente de las hiervas altas y desde aquí empieza su verdadero terror.

Introduction

Good morning classmates, good morning teacher.

Next, I will proceed with my presentation about the book "In the Tall Grass" written by
"Sthepen King and Joe Hill"

As a brief introduction to the plot of the book This happens when two brothers embark on a
road trip in a Mazda to go San Diego, they decide not to go on the toll road, but on the other
hand for saising, in the wey they decide to rest next to some tall grass, when turning off the
radio and lowering the windows and breathing fresh air they hear a voice coming from the tall
grass and from here their true terror begins.

Resumen

Becky y Cal DeMuth son dos hermanos con 19 meses de diferencia de edad.

Becky and Cal DeMuth are two brothers born nineteen months apart in age.

Becky tiene seis meses de embarazo.

Becky is six months pregnant

Ella tuvo la idea de salir de casa porque a sus padres no les gusto que ella este embarazada su
hermano Cal decide acompañarla por lo que deciden salir juntos en un viaje por carretera
hacia San Diego en donde viven sus tíos y seguir con el resto del embarazo

She had the idea of leaving home because her parents did not like that she is pregnant, her
brother Cal decides to accompany her, so they decide to go out together on a road trip to San
Diego where their uncles live and continue with the rest of the pregnancy.
En el camino CAL decide visitar el dragón Kaskaskia , y Becky el ovillo de cuerda más grande del
mundo.

On the way CAL decides to visit the dragon Kaskaskia, and Becky the largest ball of rope in the
world.

Deciden descansar a lado de la carretera y a lado de unas hiervas altas escuchan un llamado de
auxilio que viene desde el fondo las hiervas altas.

Becky y Cal deciden adentrarse y buscar al niño que buscaba ayuda porque se había perdido y
no podía salir de espesa vegetación.

Al entrar escuchan otra voz que es de la madre del niño que dice que no entren que se alejen y
el niño seguía pidiendo ayuda.

Cal piensa que ya está por dar con el niño, pero no es así y también pierde de vista a su
hermana.

They decide to rest by the side of the road and next to some tall grass they hear a call for help
that comes from the bottom of the tall grass.

Becky and Cal decide to go inside and look for the boy who was looking for help because he
was lost and couldn't get out of thick vegetation.

Upon entering they hear another voice that is from the boy's mother saying not to go away
and the boy kept asking for help.

Cal thinks he is about to find the boy, but he is not, and he also loses sight of his sister.

Becky intenta llamar al 911 pero su celular pierde la señal.

Becky tries to call nine hundred eleven but her cell phone loses the signal.

Ellos también escuchan a un perro y las risas de un hombre y un niño.

They also listen to a dog and the laughter of a man and a boy.

Cal le pide al niño que su nombre es Tobin que no se mueva para poder encontrarlo, pero
ahora la voz del niño viene por todos los lados haciendo difícil su búsqueda.

Cal asks the boy that his name is Tobin not to move in order to find him, but now the boy's
voice is coming from all sides making his search difficult.

Cal se encuentra con un cadáver de un perro y con moscas.

Cal finds a corpse of a dog full of flies.

Entonces Cal le dice a Becky que ya no se preocupe por Tobin que ahora solo ellos importaban
y tenían que reunirse.

So Cal tells Becky not to worry about Tobin anymore that only they mattered now and they
had to get together.

Cal le pide saltar a Becky para poder verla, pero antes le pregunto si podía saltar debido a su
embarazo de seis meses. Al saltar no vio a su hermana, pero si la carretera que se encontraba
muy lejos, al saltar de nuevo se aleja mucho más entonces Cal se da cuenta que algo lo está
moviendo y haciendo que se adentre mucho más en las hiervas.
Cal asks Becky to jump in order to see her, but earlier I asked if she could jump due to her six-
month pregnancy. When she jumped, she did not see her sister, but if the road that was very
far away, when she jumped again, she goes much farther, then Cal realizes that something is
moving her and making her go much deeper into the grass.

Becky es encontrada por un hombre llamado Ros y le dice que es el padre de Tobin y esposo
de Nataly la mujer que era la otra voz que decía que no entren.

Becky is found by a man named Ros and tells her that it is Tobin's father and Nataly's husband
the woman who was the other voice saying not to enter.

Ros le dice que la puede ayudar a salir Becky vio sangre en sus labios y ropa al caminar
encontró a la mujer Nataly muerta en el piso.

Ros tells him that he can help her out. Becky saw blood on her lips and clothes as she walked
found the Nataly woman dead on the floor.

Ros lleva a Becky hacia una piedra y dice que la toque y que todo se aclarar que Ros aprendió
más de la roca que en sus últimos veinte años de estudio.

Ros takes Becky to a stone and says to touch it and that everything will become clear that Ros
learned more from the rock than in his last twenty years of study.

Ros dice que es una roca antigua y que esta sedienta de sangre y lágrimas.

Ros says it is an ancient rock and that it is thirsty for blood and tears.

Becky y Ros pelean y Becky le clava unas llaves en el ojo a Ros, Ros se defiende y la patea en el
vientre Becky toma de un bolso unas tijeras y lo hiere en la cara matando a Ros.

Becky and Ros fight and Becky sticks keys in Ros's eye,

Ros defends himself and kicks her in the belly. Becky takes scissors from a bag and hurts him in
the face, killing Ros.

Cal intenta incendiar la hierba, pero fracasa, entonces se le aparece Tobin el cual tenía un
cuervo que estaba comiendo Cal enfadado le quita el cuervo.

Cal tries to set the grass on fire, but fails, then Tobin appears to him. He had a crow that was
eating. Cal angrily removes the crow.

Tobin lleva a Cal hacia una roca alta y le dice que la toque y así podrá ver a su hermana.

Tobin takes Cal to a high rock and tells him to touch it so he can see his sister.

Beck despierta con sed y hambre encuentra a su hermano Cal con una hermosa bebe recién
nacida y ella pierde el conocimiento por segunda vez.

Beck wakes up thirsty and hungry finds his brother Cal with a newborn baby and she passes
out a second time.

Beck al despertar ve a Cal comiendo algo que parece una pierna de muñeca igual el niño Tobin
comía algo era su hija recién nacida.

Waking up, Beck sees Cal eating something that looks like a doll's leg, just like the boy Tobin
ate something was his newborn daughter.
Tobin y Cal llevan a Beck hacia la piedra y la obligan a tocar.

Tobin and Cal take Beck to the stone and force her to touch.

La historia se repite ahora con una familia de Hipies que deciden hacer una barbacoa a lado de
las hiervas altas y escuchan la voz de un niño pidiendo ayuda

History repeats itself now with a family of Hippies who decide to make a barbecue next to the
tall grass and listen to the voice of a child asking for help.

CRITICA

La lectura de este libro da miedo y suspenso a la vez por lo que quieres seguir leyendo y ver
qué pasa con el final bueno eso me paso a mí no se a ustedes.

el libro resulto muy bueno porque hay hasta una película en Netflix pero yo no la vi me dio
miedo y también no hay tiempo por ahora para ver la película.

reading this book is scary and suspense at the same time so you want to continue reading and
see what happens with the good ending that happened to me I don't know about you.

the book was very good because there is even a movie on Netflix but I did not see it it scared
me and also there is no time for now to watch the movie

Es un libro muy bueno y corto lo recomiendo leer debido a la trama al terror que en algunas
partes hace referencia este libro y en mi opinión es un libro muy bueno y no muy extenso.

It is a very good and short book, I recommend reading it due to the plot of terror that this book
refers to in some parts and in my opinion it is a very good book and not very extensive.
