The Articles – Los Articulos


El idioma Ingles tiene dos articulos: “The” y “A/An”.
“The” - Este articulo es conocido como el articulo defenido. Se usa para nombrar un sustantivo
especifico o particular como a una persona, lugar o cosa independientement del genero y del
numero.
"The" es similar a los articulos en español como "el, la, los, las”
Ejemplos:
The Apple The woman The city
The Book The man The beach

“A/an” Este articulo es conocido como el articulo indefinido. Se usa para nombrar o modificar
un sustantivo que no es especifico o particular como una persona, lugar o cosa
independientement del genero. A diferencia del articulo definido que no especifica singular y
plural, este articulo siendo indefinite solo expresa en singular. El articulo “an” se usa cuando la
primera letra del sustantivo comienza con una vocal (a, e, i, o, u), o la primera consonante suena
como una vocal.
Ejemplos:
An Apple A woman A city
A Book A man An spider

Sentence structure – Las partes de una oración


Las dos partes más básicas de una oración son el sujeto (Subject) y el predicado (Predicate).
“Suject” - el sujeto de una oración es la persona, lugar o cosa que está realizando la acción de la
oración. El sujeto es identificado en una oración haciendo la pregunta "¿Quién o qué?"
Ejemplo:
Oracion: Pedro come pescado Sentence: Mary likes to eat pizza
Quien come pescado? Pedro Who like to eat pizza? Mary
El sujeto es Pedro the subject is Mary
Predicate (Predicado) – el predicado contiene tres partes: verbo, preposicion, y objecto.
Verb - El verbo es la palabra que describe una accion, condicion o experiencia del sustantivo.

Ejemplos:
run (correr) look (mirar) feel (sentir)
eat (comer) walk (caminar) cry (llorar)

Preposition – las preposiciones son generalmente precedidas por un sustantivo o un pronombre.


Las preposiciones son palabras que se usan para describir la ubicacion, tiempo, y lugar del
sustantivo en una oracion. Aqui una lista the algunas preposiciones: at, for, in, off, on, over,
under, of, from, behind, after, before, with, against.
Ejemplos:
The man on the platform He sat on the chair
She arrived after dinner There is some milk in the fridge
What did you do it for? He drove over the bridge

Objet – El objeto es un sustantivo, pronombre, or una frase en el cual el verbo realiza la action.
El objeto normalment se encuentra al final de la oracion y esta manejado por un verbo o un
preposicion.
Ejemplos:
I eat a fish I like to eat pizza
The man cooks rice Iris drives to the store
The dog is eating its food Isaac plays tennis

Present Participle
El participio presente es una forma del verbo que describe una action, situation, de estado continuo.
El participio presente se forma siempre agregandole el sufijo –ing al verbo pero precedido siempre del
verbo “to be” ser or estar: “is”, “am”, “are”.
